    Thumbs up Congrats RogueScholar...............

    New Survivor Champion

It took only five days yet again.

When the smoke had cleared, it was RogueScholar who emerged on top.

MartinBlank was made an overwhelming favorite, to the tune of -540 to be exact, but RogueScholar rejoiced at the chance to play the role of underdog and he absolutely blanked MartinBlank on Friday night.

Martin's victory was considered almost a foregone conclusion by some, but RogueScholar relished the chance to establish himself as one of the premier college basketball cappers at SBR forum.

This handicapping contest certainly lived up to the hype, and both MartinBlank and RogueScholar put up tremendous performances, but ultimately RogueScholar was a little too much for Martin to handle, as he raced to the finish the line.

    Congrats RogueScholar and Team BeaverHounds!

I want to thank everyone here that was so encouraging, CrazyLou for running a great contest and keeping the excitement high, and my teammates for always believing in me! This was an absolutely blast and I'm still in shock that I kicked everybody's asses so thoroughly! The prize is great, but the recognition that I am a consistent winner at college hoops is even better.

Mudcat, I suggested the BeaverHounds team name because my other two team members are straight, and my alma mater is Oregon State, whose teams are the Beavers. It seemed to be a nice way for everybody to feel comfortably represented.

Thank you Lou, RyanSpeer, RJ, Nicky, Mudcat, Pete, JJ, Plommer, Smitch, and AMBy! You're the greatest handicapping friends I guy could ever have!

Much obliged, Blitty. Winning an SBR contest is a heady brew, and it's made all the more sweet by the fact that I can share it with my friends. Next time we've gotta have four man teams so you can join Team Beaverhounds.

Thanks Sforz, Wrigley, and Junkyard Dog. It wasn't me that met JJ, that was RogueJuror, but I wouldn't be opposed to meeting JJ myself. I hope he's able to take that van tour of the country and come stay with me for a few days.
