Default Why are some good books crap?

I'm talking the books of the Sportingbet ilk. I mean they're one of the biggest groups out there, they've got the money behind them so they're not going to go broke, they offer nice lines and I've always found their CS pretty damn good.

But why do they then give themselves such bad PR by shit like voiding off-line bets. The cost won't cripple them to honour the bet at the "right" price. When will they realise that a little cost in monetary value goes a long, long way in PR. And a long, long way in the offshore industry.

Another pain in the ass is this 'audit' thing. I'm sure if they'd choose to set aside a couple of managers to deal exclusively with this issue and promise, something like: "audit? max 48 hrs to get the problem solved", it would be a whole different company.

Sportingbet is that group with tons of other sites and different languages, right? Not too many sportsbooks in different languages. I would promote them if they ever get to a B+ rating here. But as of today, I've read enough news wires and complaints to just wait.

Big books don't care about a couple of players complaining. They have so many customers that it makes no difference for them to loose a player or two.
This doesn't mean that they are not good... Just read their rules carefully and follow them step by step and you'll be sure that you'll get your money without a problem. There is no rules braking in big shops unless you are a real VIP customers (loose more than 100k a month), than there they'll treat you like a person and not a number. That is basically it. If you like to be treated like a VIP customer even do you don't loose that much stick to smaller reliable books and you'll get a personalized treatment. Just make sure that they are reliable and that they pay.
