Unhappy Bwin (formerly Betandwin) - disabled account

I registered with Bwin, formerly known as Bet and win a few weeks back, placed a bet that won and withdrew the initial deposit and the winnings from the bet through Moneybookers, the money arrived after one week.

A few days ago I deposited again and placed another bet that also won, when I tried to log in on their site it said my account had been disabled and that I had to contact their customer service.

I send them an e-mail asking why they have disabled my account and am awaiting their reply, I wonder why they did this.

I have registered and played with quite a few bookies lately and never had a problem with any of them.

    Hi guys,

thx for the replies and the help, I really appreciate it.

I just send a mail with the info.

JTR, you obviously did not take note of why they changed their name to BWIN. BWIN may sound like a stupid name, but the alternative was BetandWinbutNotasOftenasYouLose or BetandWinbutDontCashout.

    Hi isetcap,

I did read a lot of horror stories about Betandwin on the forums, but got tempted by the good odds they have and I somehow hoped I wouldn´t have any troubles with them, I should have known better.

I just went to their site and tried to send them a direct mail from this page: https://www.bwin.com/page.aspx?view=contact and it says my email address isn´t valid.

I think I figured out why they closed my account, I just went to my Moneybookers account and saw that they paid me my first withdrawal twice, once at 5.53 pm and again at 5.54 pm on the 9th of August.

I got an automated e-mail from Moneybookers at the time saying that Bwin had paid, I checked to see if it was the correct amount, but I didn´t notice that they paid me twice.

They must have found out about their mistake and then locked my account to recover the money they had accidently sent too much.

The way it is now I only lose 3 Euro, so I am very relieved about this.

I think it is their fault though because they paid me twice, I will send them an e-mail explaining this.

Betoto (Bwin company) I registrated an usually new account, deposited 500€ , took up it to 2873€ in less than 24 hours. (Lucky run) Today I wanted to bet, but of course I got my limit, 50€ . No problem, I have already asked my money, tomorrow I will open a new account there.

I hope it has nothing to do with banning bwin/betandwin in Germany (land Sachsen), which I guess is the main bwin´s market. See this: http://www.handelsblatt.com/news/Def...=ft&_b=1119256
(I am sorry if someone else posted it here, but I drunk toooooo much today and I am only reposting the link from the small czech forum (http://sazkar.net/viewtopic.php?t=4) [it is czech of course, but we have to keep some scientific ways of quoation] and poster "operator" there.

A friendly word of advice: if you are booted and open a new fake account, you're asking for trouble. Don't be greedy - take your win and move on.

Thanks, but I know what I'm doing, don't worry. I have opened 25-30 accounts (at betandwin, playit, betoto, and formerly beteurope) in the aggregate since 2003, and there weren't problems. I would move on but to where? (I play only in live, and mostly tennis) Betfair - there aren't good offers. Bet $3.65 always limits me. There is no one more place like bwin live where the winning is so easy.

how in the world have you opened up so many accounts? I wouldn't even think about trying to open up a 2nd account just b/c of the ramifications if you get caught. you must know something that I do not.

Lucas has right. I have some scanned ID documents from my friends. Example : Friend1 at bwin, I got the limit, then I went to playit with friend2, etc. But I have already played with the same name at the same office several times, and they didn't say that I had account formerly, they paid me regularly.

I just received an e-mail from Bwin with the following message:

    "Thank you for your e-mail.
We have forwarded your case to our financial department which will make a decision in this matter.
We will contact you as soon as we have any further information.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further queries.

And you can see why these books respond poorly to some players. If one guy has opened 30 accounts, think of all the others.

Oh yes, I'm a cheater, because I opened multiplie accounts. I ask public execution! LOL! And the limitation of BWIN is not a cheat? If bwin had never limited me, I would have never opened an other account.

No it's not.. bookmakers have the right to limit, and take action from you or not... We may not like it, but it is their right to accept or refuse bets.

Put it this way, eventually you'll do it and not gaid paid. When that happens, you'll get zero help..

I don't care, if they limit me, I open a new account. I have always been paid out. Surely you find an another bookie, if somewhere, where you can win, you get limit. LOL! I bet for money, not for entertainment, and if they have to right to limit me, I have to right to open a new account.

He'll come bitching to SBR like a little girl when it happens. He'll scream about the incredible thievery that has taken place when the book confiscates his bonus and closes his 52nd account. Then everyone will yell how atrocious it is that a sportsbook might do something like that.

There's a lot of scammers in this industry and the vast majority of them are "players".

So now everything is fine again.
Just an unlucky situation I guess, because they paid me my withdrawal twice instead of once.

Thanks again for your support guys.

Glad to hear it worked out. I don't like some of their decisions, but something this extreme seemed out of sort.
