I noticed they are getting roughed up here upon returning from their tour of duty at the EOG.

I think we should be cool with them. They said some silly things about how their team was going to bury SBR and TheRx. Didnt happen or even come close. As I said then, you cant pay posters to post. The conversation becomes coma inducing.

Those who come back we should be cool with.

I would not judge them on account of being paid posters. I'm sure there are many people here who only wish they could be that.

Many people here would be hypocrites to bash others for being paid posters. Whenever discussions come up here about who should be a mod, it almost never ends up being about mod qualifications. Most posters want people to be hired on the basis of posting a lot.

I don't like the paid poster concept but, from what I've seen, I'm in the minority. Whatever.

But if those ex-paid posters happen to be STIFFS or shills I say definitely, treat them with the same minimal respect they treat people they bet with or lie to to pry money from.

Do you think he/she is going to provide anything of value gamblingwise that we don't already have? We already have jjgold and Bread as paid posters hitting a combined 25% in their picks for the year. Agreed. When we set up the SBR forum we went straight to Mudcat for help. Very solid. Did a great job.

SBR certainly got the better of the deal. Guys like Gyno (imgv) will not be coming back. They are posting for free and have been told they might be paid again if they will stay and post for free. Very odd but glad it works there. I'm sure some feel a little silly they thought it was a long term deal and they were on a "team". We should make them feel welcome I mean its a forum kind of easy to be cool.

There were many many more. Posters I never even heard of that came out later claiming they were paid and then laid off. A poster called yummy and JeffJones who knows how long the list is or was. Some post for favors to extend their gambling debts. But I'll continue to contend there is no value in it. I remember a Raiders thread "What do you think Shrink ate for breakfast?". I mean thats just toe curddeling bad but thats what you get when guys have a quota, official or not.

And it’s true too. The SBR staff works and leaves the posting to the posters. SBR almost always gets their man but for a while could not get the General's services. You will not see him being a posting machine but he will make valuable and significant contributions.
