Default Maurice Clarett Arrested AGAIN- PLEASE READ THIS and help me understand

Wow this is sad...

Ex-Ohio State RB Maurice Clarett arrested
38 minutes ago

Former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett tussled with police during a traffic stop early Wednesday before officers discovered four loaded guns in his sport utility vehicle, a police spokesman said.
Officers used Mace to subdue Clarett after a stun gun was ineffective because the suspect was wearing a bullet-resistant vest, Sgt. Michael Woods said.
"It took several officers to get him handcuffed," Woods said. "Even after he was placed in the paddy wagon, he was still kicking at the doors and being a problem for the officers."
Clarett, 22, is currently awaiting trial on two counts of aggravated robbery, four counts of robbery and one count of carrying a concealed weapon in a separate case. Authorities said he was identified by witnesses as the person who flashed a gun and robbed two people in an alley behind the Opium Lounge in the early hours of Jan. 1.
Clarett scored the winning touchdown in the second overtime to lead Ohio State to the 2002 national championship, the school's first since 1968. But that was the last game the freshman played for Ohio State. He sat out the 2003 season after being charged with misdemeanor falsification on a police report, then dropped out of school. He sued to be included in the 2004 NFL draft and lost in court.
A surprise third-round pick in the 2005 draft, he was cut by the Denver Broncos during the preseason

Default He should have realized that he had limited abilities and eeked out a living

Someone should have sat this idiot down a few years back and told him that he had a piss poor attitude, limited intelligence and wasn't really that great athletically but that he lucked out getting national exposure on a good team where he was hyped.

If he would have just said to himself to shut up not revealing how dumb he was, don't be a retard and rob someone for some worthless rap CD'S and go with the program showing up for worthless fluff degree courses that Jethro Bodine could pass in college these days he could have a few million salted away right now.

Even so,he probably got something from the Broncos as far as signing bonuses etc.are concerned.Let's say the guy behaved nicely and milked it for what it was worth for 2 or 3 years before every team from the NFL to the CFL to the arena league knew he stunk where they all cut him,he could have had at least a couple million in pure cash.He could have faked an injury and got more freebies when he knew the end was near.It would have taken an idiot like that where his mind was contaminated by socialist democrat politicians all his life about 6 months to blow that wad of cash.He would have spent it on his entourage posse and bling bling. Can you imagine the homelife this guy had probably with a crack whore mom growing up as a bastard? Then the public school ''zoo-circus-jungle''system contaminated by the teachers union he attended brainwashed him where he was diseased and contaminated. The guy has limited employment potential where he can make about $10 an hour at a car wash tops and he could have had 100 years of working for that kind of money that he made in 3 years playing football waiting for him to have a good life starting at the age of 25.

Bentcrude. You need to have a working brain to do as you have just said. Obviously , we know he does not have one.

Default Let's face it,the whole education-college sports scene it's a farce of the 1st degree

I live in an area that's in the boonies and at the end of the road.No one comes here unless you are enticed with some sort of government freebie handout. The companies that locate here can't get bank loans or sell stock because no one has confidence in their sketchy track records.

O.K,so we have bogus commuity colleges where guys laid off from their blue collar jobs where their unemployment is running out attend classes for picture framing where the government pays them to go to school. At these same schools they get troubled low IQ.inner city kids from 2000 miles away to play sports and attend school. They too take fluff courses like psychology where they are taught,if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it,does it still make a noise.People taking these classes main goal is to work a makework job for the government someday.Of course the sports programs lose money but all the coaches, minority affairs department people, councilors etc.don't mind because it justifies their existence working at the college.

Out of the 30 or so men and women imported here at each college which there are 5,most obtain serious criminal records while here. Then to boot they impregnate dozens of local idiot groupie girls and the tax payer picks up the tab when big daddy blows town and goes back to the hood.

I get a charge when these guys in college sports that are from the hood and have records, low IQ's hit it big and want to leave school early to sign a huge contract catch hell from their momma's.The kid can sign on the dotted line and make10 million$$$ and momma is there screaming like Wheezie Jefferson that my son needs a degree and to get his education and she is ticked at him for leaving school. In the real world the kid would be capable of being a burger flipper at best.

Clarett is truely on a highway to hell.

Quote:
COLUMBUS, Ohio Aug 9, 2006 (AP)— Maurice Clarett was arrested early Wednesday after a highway chase that ended with police using Mace on the former Ohio State running back and finding four loaded guns in his truck, a police spokesman said.

Officers used Mace to subdue Clarett after a stun gun was ineffective because the former Fiesta Bowl star was wearing a bullet-resistant vest, Sgt. Michael Woods said.

"It took several officers to get him handcuffed," Woods said. "Even after he was placed in the paddy wagon, he was still kicking at the doors and being a problem for the officers."

Clarett was being interviewed at police headquarters. Authorities planned to charge him with carrying concealed weapons and other counts, Woods said.

Clarett made an illegal U-turn on the city's east side and failed to stop when officers tried to pull him over.

Clarett was being pursued by police while driving eastbound on Interstate 70 when he darted across the median and began heading west. Clarett drove over a spike strip that was placed on the highway, flattening the driver's side tires of the SUV, Woods said.

Clarett exited the highway and pulled into a restaurant parking lot, where officers removed him from the SUV after he failed to obey numerous orders to exit the vehicle, Woods said.

After Clarett was placed in a police van, officers discovered a loaded rifle and three loaded handguns in the front of the vehicle, Woods said.

Woods said he did not know where Clarett got the guns or why he had them and that federal authorities plan to trace their ownership.

This is on the front of ESPN.com

When I look at this image it is blatantly obvious to me that this guy needs help. Some generalizers might give little thought to his situation and call him a thug. For me, it goes beyond the 3 visible firearms and the empty bottle of vodka that has carelessly spilled all over the seat. If you look more closely you'll see the telling clue that has droves of OCD afflicted individuals checking into support groups each day...

At least the kid knows his vodka! Do you think the Grey Goose reps are contacting his agent about an endorsement deal?

Maurice Clarett dreams of grasping gridiron glory again

Michael Vick(notes) does not have the market cornered on athletes-turned-convicts who would like to turn athletes again. Former Denver Broncos draftee Maurice Clarett is sitting behind bars, dreaming of playing professional football again.

According to his blog, he's in good physical shape, and he certainly sounds inspired. Here's a snippet:

Quote:
I want to play. I am going to play somewhere. I cannot accept how things ended. I won’t accept how they ended. I am 220, rock solid. I am moving swift, running fast, and jumping high. My mind is right and my life is in order. I am 25 but I feel like I am 18. I am still young. Those who do support me deserve and want to see me out there playing again. I play with some pretty good athletes back here. In the penitentiary you could say basketball is football. Back here everything is aggressive. Everything is intense. I know I am an asset to someone’s locker room on so many levels. I’ve survived some of life’s worst struggles. I am not a statistic. I am still here and I am still living. I didn’t and won’t give up. I am a winner. I am optimistic. I am inspirational. I am alive. I want to play for the love and the respect. I want to play for the underdogs. I want to play because I know how to really well. Hopefully, they’ll open these gates soon and I’ll be able to get out on the field again. I am healthy mentally and physically. I am rock solid. I train hard. I go hard. I’m HERE.
Yes, you are there. But the rest of us are out here, and at the moment, that's the problem.

It might not be the case much longer, though. It was September of 2006 when Clarett went in, and he agreed to a sentence of seven and a half years with a possible early release after three and a half years. Assuming the early release comes through, we're about 10 months away from Clarett walking out of the joint and trying to get back into football. He'll be 26.

One would think that the upstart UFL or Arena League would be more likely destinations than the NFL. Clarett was considered to be a reach even when the Broncos drafted him in the third round, and despite his intramural prison athletic prowess, it's still anybody's guess as to where his skills will be when he gets out.

If there is such a thing, Clarett right now is a poor man's Michael Vick. Like Vick, he will have done his time, paid his debt, and deserves another chance. But he was never the dazzling athlete Vick was, his crimes were universally condemned (unlike Vick's), and ESPN won't be assigning 13 reporters to cover Clarett's eventual release.

We'll see what happens, though. If he can play, chances are, he'll get an opportunity to do so somewhere.
