Are the linesmakers on crack? It is like they think the Suns are going to put up 120+ on the Celtics defense. Amare is out and Hill may be out and will not be 100% even if he plays. Garnett is out, who is going to score all of these points? I jumped this first thing last night as I figured this line would come down huge today and it is already down to 221.5.

I don't even think these two will combine for 200. Suns have scored alot of points in the last 3 games but that was against the worst teams in the league. Celtics actually play defense and will avoid running up and down the court.

So you are comparing the Celtic defense to the Clippers and Bobcat defense? First off, those teams don't have a defense and Garnett isn't the only good defensive player on the Celtics. Anyone can put up points against 2 teams who run up and down the court and don't put defensive pressure up at all. What have they proven by beating Clippers and Bobcats? What? You are saying they are this amazing team now that they beat up on and left their starters on the floor to run scores up. Against OKC, they scored 99 and 110
Against LA Clips, they scored 106 and 109

Why didnt they score 140 in those games?

The previous highest total for a Celtics game was Dec. 21 at the Knicks. The total was 209 and the Celtics won 124 - 105. The Celtics are capable of running and gunning with the best of 'em but 224 seems insane for a Celtics game.

Look, I'm not saying the game cant go Under. 2 high scorers in Amare and Garnett are out. Celtics play defense. I get why players like it. But this is a different Suns team now. Porter was holding the reins back. Now they are free to run. That's why i said its a dangerous play. Still to early to know if they can do this against good competition. Thats why I wouldnt touch the total. Too many questionmarks. I dont like going into a bet blindfolded.

done arguing with you, if you think they are going to post those numbers on the Celtics you got serious problems, there is a difference when you are shooting wide open 3's and layups all night long compared to have a hand in your face when you shoot those shots. That is what Suns are going to see today. Maybe they do get to that number but how many times do you see a number this high when probably the best defense in the NBA is on the court? I'll take it, there is a reason the line went down 3.5 points overnight

If it goes over it goes over, never said that this was the lock, but I will tell you that if I can get a total this high in a Celtic game I am going to be on the under. Celtics have a good way of imposing their will on other teams. We have seen it time and time again. If Suns score 120 today then they deserve the praise but do not be suprised when they only muster 92 points

-no one is thinking the suns will drop 140 on boston - but the celts should be able to roll up 115-120 on their own. while the suns can still get "only" 110 and hit the over.
