    Firstrowsports ever crash your computer?

it did a number on my computer today. all the sudden my computer started downloading dozens of viruses. then windows 7 locked me from the internet unless i paid them 59.99 to get their antivirus. so i couldnt go download a free antivirus. i got lucky and erased a user account and made a new one and it worked. but im still scared to go to firstrowsports again. i knew that site was too good to be true

This type of trojan is quite common and is normally called "Windows Security Shield" or something similar, it has nothing to do with Windows 7. Most of them you can usually get rid off just by rebooting in safe mode and then doing a system restore.

I would be surprised if you got it directly from Firstrowsports.

honestly it had to be firstrow. i never search porn online, and i really only go to a handfull of sites over and over. just started using firstrow and i get crippled with this. it just adds up. plus my system is weak and i do need protection but i never got it cause i doubted i could ever get a virus from yahoo, sbr, 5dimes or foxsports lol

but yeah fourlengths thats the virus i must have gotten. it completely took over my computer and i was all set to give them credit info lol.

i just yahoo searched it and this is exactly what it looked like.

crashed my comp? no. frozen my video player? yes, about 50% of the time. may be related to a hardware issue though, not sure.

You got it elsewhere. These things don't always manifest on day one. I would suggest going with what another person said. Get firefox, adblock/noscript or chrome. Sometimes when videos don't load i temporarily allow all scripts on page and i've never had any of these issues. My AV never goes off. It wasn't firstrow. Unless you clicked on one of their links by accident, perhaps they have junk links here and there.

To get rid of this virus is very easy. Download the free Anti-malware program "Malwarebytes" http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebyte...-10804572.html

Run this program while the comp is in safe mode. If you have problems putting the comp in safe mode, simply unplug it, plug back and and boot. The comp should automatically tell you of an "improper shut down" and offer to start in safe mode. You can run Malwarebytes from there and it will get rid of the malware/virus.

If you got it on frontrow it would most likely be implanted in one of the ads rather than anything they did on purpose. Although it must be tempting for them to take payment per install deals with the amount of valueless traffic they have.

Actually, i didn't get mine from watching any type of streaming video. I downloaded a bad file. The virus started as the "Windows Security" thing, but was much worse. It took my admin powers, wouldn't let me access my registry, nothing worked in safe mode, no virus scan of any type would even run...I mean, it was bad. I spent hours and hours working on that thing and finally had to give it to my uncle to fix.

Its a rootkit. one of the harder things to get rid of. Safe mode and combofix will fix it for you. It will come up again. Very frustrating if you don't know how to fix it...

First Row Sports is safe to use, some of the ads they host though.. you can never be sure. Just enable ad block plus when using the site.

Wait, you got infected and paid the fake antivirus trojan? Call your CC company now and have them attempt to reverse that transaction man. Also, get that card canceled ASAP.

My antivirus detected all sorts of shit there. If you use it make sure you don't click on any of those ads that pop up in the middle of the video. Don't even click on the [X] to close it because it isn't really truly a close button but actually a link that can potentially infect your computer.

Easiest way to fix is just to restore from a restore point if you have them enabled.
