Question Whatever happened to all the creditwagering predictions??

I throught they were going to "disappear" during football season?

I thought they were going to disappear after the superbowl?

Looks like they are still around to me, i'm sure there could be over 832 threads bumped doubting the length of their existence.

I'm not a member there, but the site is still up and running.

Well I have never posted up and they still raised my limits. If you give them enough volume, they will raise you.

I still stand by my prediction that they will fall. It's operated out of the U.S and it's only a matter of time before the Feds bag and tag this one along with the data base of drivers licenses. Running a contest in U.S.A Today probably not the brightest idea. All it's gonna take is one housewife to see her mug on the stiffs page after her hubby stole her identity to place a bet and it's game over. Better hope you pay your taxes on any winnings......

I seriously doubt they operate out of the US. If that was true. they never would have advertised their .net contest in print ads. They are not stupid.

So far 90% of the people predicting their downfall were wrong.

I don't now whether I made any actual predictions or not, but if I did, it was probably that they would fail. With their business model and general shadiness, it is surprising to me they have lasted this long.

However since they have been in business, they have done better with payouts than some A+ books here. Having said that, I still have no use for a shady, penny-ante credit shop and couldn't be bothered ever signing up.

I'm just glad they aren't as obnoxious as they were for awhile. They were using SBR as a doormat and it was pretty distasteful. I'm glad SBR finally reigned it in.

Well then, when SBR attempted to add some validity to these guys they buttoned up in top secret mode. When they gained popularity and SBR, the best player advocate forum on the web asked for info they wouldn't give it. If it was an open book like say BetJam I would change my thoughts on them. Until then I still think it's a bad idea to send these guys your info, DC or not. If your offshore why hide. I can understand to some extent ownership wanting to stay private but they treated it as hush hush yet they want your ID's and crap. It's a two way street.

But if they were in the US, why would they draw attention by advertising in mainstream US newspapers? Makes no sense.

Greed. Same reason Wall Street securitized mortgages they knew were going to go bad.

I believe with the CW business model you have a high number of people who are not going to pay, more than actually appear on the stiffs page. I'm speculating but it may operate in a manner similar to that of a ponzi scheme in the sense you constantly need new players to pay out the winners. I'm sure they have weeks where they turn a profit and many others where they bleed bad. Could be a sheer numbers game where say every 100 signups you get 35% of those people who actually pay when they lose.

Again, if they had a rating on SBR and we knew more about them my opinions on them would probably change. You could form a rational opinion on these guys if we just knew a little more about them. Logic says you don't send your personal info into the unknown abyss for $1000.00 worth of credit.

CW told me that SBR was pissed because CW wouldnt let them visit their offices or give them any info on them, they basically told the big guys at SBR to F off.........and from what I heard SBRJohn wasnt very happy.

But like Ben said.........it's his business, he doesnt need people snopping around his office.

Yup, many are eating crow over predicting early failure for cw.

To play it safe, I'll offer a prediction. This guy will never pay his debt:

People would be crazy not play at this place. They have semi weak lines and are SLOW to move them. Sometimes they just dont move them period and you can get better odds than pinny or matchbook.

From my experience they are A+.

    Overnights up
    Good CS
    Fast payouts.

I played into them very early on, even started a thread, they paid in a timely fashion all the way through baseball last season up to the WS. Then I left.

I'm not sure what is your point assuming you have one. Regardless of what you think about my motivation CW is still around, something you swore wouldn't happen. I stopped playing into them when I did because I too was afraid they wouldn't last past foots. See, I posted up with them and wanted my cash back.

Now you're being nonsensical. The point is YOU thought they would not be around in 2009, they are, you were wrong. That's the point.

    You deflect by interjecting betUS

how do you know what I thought??

I have made statements that they will not last...by that I mean slow pay will turn to no pay eventually

but I never made a call as to when....go dig up a post where I said they would end by a certain day

CW is a solid book. People who never played there shouldn't say anything about them. CW paid me faster than Bookmaker and they're an SBR rated A+ book. Bookmaker are the real scammers and for the record I still haven't gotten my 7 poker freeroll tickets I was supposed to get from over 2 weeks ago when I made a deposit there. This is what I get and they always tell me to contact the other department aka runaround. I contact the poker department and they say to contact customer service. Ane Ahole

    Sir,

Regarding the 7 free entries to the Daily Invitational $100 Poker Tournament you need to contact Poker department, those entries are not available but they can trade them for entries that have more value. You need to talk to them for you to apply this entries.
