CrazyLou: The Worst Tennis Capper on SBRforum.com
Try to follow me on this one.
We have a Tennis Forum that he begged sbr to get.
But instead of making his "official tennis thread" in that forum, he makes it in "Players Talk".
So then instead of putting all of his plays in that "official thread" he now starts more threads telling people how much he likes his plays.
Attention whoring anyone?
That might not be the worst part though.
He loses. He is down units in his "offcial plays" thread and even posts' things like " Ive honestly never seen a better tennis play than this" - Which eventually LOSES.
This is to you Lou - The worst tennis capper on SBR.

And then, to make the matter worse, Continuously makes excuse after excuse on why he lost.
I've honestly never seen a tennis play better than this...
Lou...You call your an "Elite Tennis capper"?

Just here for the points
|
First of all, Lou's thread is just copied from the Tennis sub-forum, where it originated, into Players Talk. This was a decision made above Lou's paygrade, by management, to stimulate interest in the Tennis forum and wagering on the sport in general. Management chose his thread and LT's thread to join PT to that effect.
Secondly, all of us are entitled to make any threads we wish on whatever we want to talk about (that's not really true, SBR has become more autocratic, but this is for argument's sake). Just because he has an official picks thread doesn't prohibit him from bringing attention to certain plays with their own thread. Similarly, how he chooses to reconcile that within his own internal accounting is strictly his business.
Thirdly, don't you have more meaningful things to do? I just woke up and I'm already refuting absurd arguments. Toast a bagel, bet on NASCAR, enjoy your Sunday! I have more to say about this but I should get in the shower and get ready for church.

Im not even busting his balls for his terrible "shes so hot she will win" picks but because he makes threads to highlight his strongest plays then when they lose he refuses to count them because they are "too difficult to track"

daggerkobe,
That would be incorrect.
I only grade tennis picks entered in the "2009 Official Picks Thread", I wouldn't grade a win nor loss on any play posted outside of that thread, as that is my tracking thread and only plays entered inside of it are graded.
For instance, I posted Dementieva (a loser) in there last night before I forgot, and she'll be graded accordingly.

This is basically what happened....
Lou Says in his official thread he was putting X units on someone
Ok
Then he made another thread and said he was ADDING UNITS TO HIS ORIGINAL BET. The play lost, and he failed to add the lost units to his official thread saying he doesnt add units to plays that he posted outside of the original thread - even though the units were added to the original play.

Lou is not a bad capper, it's just his attitude that people don't like (blaming losses to refs, threads with pretentious titles and than losing, saying if a match goes to a third set it's as good as a win,...)

This thread was sLinked to tennis, NOT moved out of Players Talk. It's still in Players Talk.
If a thread is relevant to another section, it is copied there. This thread never left Players Talk.

If someone posts a thread "NFL Picks", it is copied to the NFL forum, and remains in Players Talk.
If someone makes a thread about a tennis capper, it is again copied to the appropriate subforum, and remains in the subforum it was originally posted in, such as this one.
Users cannot "link" thread themselves, that's a moderators task.

He has insightful info whether that always leads to winners or not is another question, tennis is very difficult to win money in because of huge favorites and bad juice, I have seen some very good long shot winners posted in the past by lou and his write ups are always in depth

Dude, post a thread in players talk about a specific game...
Title it...
Towson @ Drexel, for example...
In 15-20 minutes, you will see a copy of that same thread in the appropiate sub-section, which, in this case, would be NCAA Handicapping.
AAO, where the f*ck ya been bud?

Its not like that at all.
When someone creates a special thread to announce to the entire forum posting world that he is tripling his original bet I fully expect him to own up to it when it loses.
How would u feel if u tailed the pick because he felt so confident that he raised his bet 3x only to find out later he was just kidding and didnt mean it? Thats like being stabbed in the back. As crazy as it may seem there are nutjobs that follow his tennis picks. Whether they honestly think hes good or just kissing his ass cause hes a mod, i do not know.
The great thing about public forums such as this is that its self regulated. If someone posts a play then claimshe bet the opposite people are going to call them out in it. Otherwise this place would runamok with wannabe touts with their fake records.
To say this isnt worth anyones time is BS. There are many that believe posting on forums at all is a waste of ones time, so will u stop?

He also had a big bet on Seppi (4.5 u), more than he bet on Federer at the Aussie Open Finals. When asked why he didn't include that loss in his record, he said it was just to "promote discussion....." Promote discussion on an obscure match in an obscure tournament involving two obscure players? If that were the case, wouldn't it be more appropriate to title it: "XXXXX vs. XXXXX.... discussion"????
But we all know had they both won, he'd be a singing a different tune.
I can just see it now...
Haterz: Hey CrappyL, why did you include Verdasco in your record when it wasn't in your "official" thread?
CrappyL: Because I clearly said I was "adding units to the original bet" which makes it an extention of the official thread.
Haterz: OK.... then why did you include Seppi in your record when it didn't say anything about adding units?
CrappyL: Do you think I would create an official looking thread with official units if I didn't mean to be an official play? Puuhhhhleeeease.
I mean I knew this guy was shady when he used to defend that scumbag Dodif (who I suspect was Crazyl's ghost considering he abruptly vanished after he was given the mod job) but this takes the cake.
I often laugh when he begins a pick with "I'm no tout but...." uh, you actually are. They also don't count losses and brag about being the best even when they are down huge units. Whenever a noob asks who the best tennis capper here is, he is always raising his hand going "ooooh oooh meeee meeee memememememememememmememeeme" like a little kid trying to get the teacher's attention.

Don't usually like to talk about this kind of stuff but when Crazy mentioned the thing about not including those picks in his record I knew that it was going to create a huge shit show.
Most people on here have an idea of who they are going to bet in a certain game or match and then look around the forum to talk with other people on the game and bounce ideas off of them to either reassure themselves that the pick that they want to make is good or if they should think otherwise.Crazy has really good tennis knowledge and its good to discuss particular matches with him and others on this forum. When betting tennis you often have to eat alot of chalk with plays so losing some of the big chalk favorites happens and can kill an overall record. Was the -600 player that was selected and lost a good picK?Value wise it isn't but more times then not that -600 player will win.The odd time that it doesn't,it kills the record. I agree that Crazy should have counted the units in his overall record since he stated in the threads that he was adding units to the play. With that in mind though, saying he is the worst tennis capper is an obvious exaggeration. We all have our ups and downs and at the end of the day, no one is holding a gun to your head to follow his plays religously. You should probably just include those two matches in your overall record crazy and then go from there and these guys won't have to make up threads like this about your capping ability. Its a long season and you are a good capper that will be able to get out of the hole you are in right now unit wise. We'll talk tennis again soon
