    As a student, I make more money off unemployment in the winter time than I would working at mcdonalds...only for the winter though because my job is seasonal. I still don't know how people can be on unemployment for extended amounts of time, even just calling the office is a pain in the ass

    Just got promoted to assistant supervisor of the am shift at Arby's...I am very proud of myself and worked very hard to get this position.

    May be unemployed soon. Since ill make about 2k a month on unemployment there is no need to work at mcdonalds since i would make less money. Nor do i want to go from making 6k/mo to 600/mo at mcdonalds. I can see why people stay on unemployment due to this premiss.

    lots of senior mgrs getting let go at major firms. u getting severance at least?

    No hahaha, I just work at Pepsi in a warehouse where year round i averaged about 15-20 hours of OT a week so i was paid very well. We have like 40 workers in the warehouse and management is trying to get us all fired and bring in non union workers that will work for half our pay with no benefits.
