The theoretical hold is only around 3.957% vs. 4.762%. That's the reason you don't see books posting 20 cents for a +280/-300 ML. The 20 cents juice is not nearly as impactful at those higher levels as opposed to -110.

obviously i understand everything everyone wrote here..it just sickens me when i like a play at halftime and before i can even confirm the bet its moved to a -130 or some nonsense..most of the time i will play it regardless if i think its a winner but as we all know these 2nd halfs very often come down to a point or a half point..thats when you start messing up your head overanalyzing the play since you know this and you ask yourself damn do i really want to get burned by a half point and meanwhile this line is now at -140..lol..so its ****** in my opinion...used to be they moved the juice rarely and usually the line..now its the exact opposite and if you are betting real money a couple of half point burns will negate a lot of profit..the only solution i can think of is to call up as soon as that game goes into the half and be like ok i'll hold if the line isnt up yet and be prepared to make a snap decision play.

while heritage would only hang a -4.5 -135, 5D would allow you to adjust to their -4.5 -125 to -6 -110, or -6.5 -102. something to that effect. Could go beyond and take -7 +110
