    Default ESPN news......

This show is on 24hrs a day obviously but 20 min in morning, afternoon and evening is all you need..........Damn,they repeat stories to the point it gives me a headache!

Why don't they have more fantasy updates, video game reviews, live interviews, etc, etc

With no competition, ESPN is the big elephant in the room. The network sucks. I do enjoy Baseball Tonight, and thats it.

cnnSI was there only competition at one time, and they pulled the plug on it. just because it's an espn network they will get the sponsers to buy the commercial slots at there outragous price tags there wanting.

I just tune to ESPN news if I need a score while away from the computer and watching TV. Other then that, I dont watch it. Hell, I could tune to ESPN2 and get the same score ticker, but maybe catch some dominos.

They have that content on mainly during the afternoon. I would like to see more of that during the late evening and overnights though.

It's a shame that the network has in many ways become larger than the sports they actually cover. Sometimes it seems like ESPN is covering themself instead of the game. I still watch certain shows for highlights and some info, and certainly watch the live games they broadcast. But I can't stand the crowded studio bits when it seems like everyone is just talking over the other guy and trying to see who can make the most outrageous and controversial statement. And I always keep the MUTE button nearby for the instant I hear voices like Gary Thorne, Jeff Brantley, Rick Sutcliffe and Chris Berman.

    College Gameday is awesome.

Mike Tirico and Kirk Herbstriet are great!!!

Lee Corso is a senile old man but I just ignore him
    anyway.

PTI is a great show. I really like the format and Tony and Mike are DC legends.

To each their own as far as what programming they find most entertaining. But the PTI and Around the Horn shows are exactly what I don't like. The format is fine; listening to intelligent and constructive debate is great. But too much of those shows is anything but intelligent. If I want to listen to a couple of guys argue about sports or politics, I'll meet a friend at a bar and we can strike up our own debate where neither of us is worried about how many hits our blog is going to get the next day and commercial breaks are replaced by timeouts to eye the waitress in the tight jeans or short skirt.
