I've been away for a while but football is just around the corner so I'm back. I just got a call from BetUS (SBR rating D). They are offering a 100% bonus w/ 60 day hold and a 6 time roll. Any other book with a good rating and I would pound the hell out of this but...... I read off the SBR site to the tele-marketer why neither I or any well informed player would deposit funds with these guys. He kept on with the " We are featured on ESPN " crap. I explained to him that his company was able to pay for the high ad cost with funds they have stolen from players in the past. Expect a call from BetUS offering the 100 % bonus. Be smart refer them to the SBR site and tell them why your not taking advantage of a bonus that will never be paid.

This is a VERY dangerous book currently. The owner of BetUS is the ex-partner of Gary Kaplan, the fellow who got BetOnSports shut down.

They split up because Gary considered him sleezy. Imagine that!

Stay away from BetUS. You are seeing what is happening to the people that ignored the BetOnSports warnings. Don't be the next fool. Do not fall for these ridiculous bonus offers that are never paid when you win.

Got a huge mailout from them today. Football annual and lot of promo material. Pretty strange considering I haven't been allowed to bet with them in almost three months.

Certainly better books that players should be using for football this year.

Bill I dont know Bruce but if I were him I'd take the 10G to hell with the principal of it. 10Gs in hand is better than 14Gs in the bush...LOL. Besides he can put the 10G back in get his 100% Bonus and just like that he has a 20G play balance. Play is the correct word for the balance.

I think what Chucks saying is players who have been around.
Generally if a player has an 05 at the end of his date joined he or she has been around long enough to give reasonable advice. Take it dont take it. Its your money. I'm personaly staying away from this book. By the way, I respect every posters opinion who has posted in this thread up to this point. I generally give new posters respect as well untill they prove otherwise.

I hear ya Aces. It's a tough spot. Of course, the route Bruce is going is better for fellow players. Settling just shows the book doesn't get it. They do it for redemption and reputation but at the end of the day what did they do? Admit guilt and short-change the player one more time.

We would never tell a player not to take what he is offered; we can only advise and give our opinion on the chances of retrieving the full sum.
