    Default Easybets

    1. They have been paying out to players while this whole BOS situation has been going on. They paid out my balance on Thursday and have payed other US players.

    2. They removed their US phone number from their site in last couple days.

I really don't think really has any affect on the situation, but other sites are reporting, so might as well mention here.

If you have money with them and are a US player, might be the time to get it out while you can.

Easybets doesn't seem very closely affiliated with BoS at all. Their lines, software and promotions are completely different. Customer service and accounting are located in Hong Kong, not Costa Rica. I really wouldn't be too worried about Easybets.

Ricky, I tend to agree, but I also never thought BOS would ever stop operating no matter who was arrested, indicted, so anything is possible.

Strongly doubt, if this is true, but if true, I would never like to have one penny with them!

I played at Easybets for several years before BOS bought them and never had any issues. After they were purchased, I didn't notice much of a change, they are certainly managed in a different place than BOS, somewhere in Asia, but I don't know where.

EasyBets (SBR rating D) users should request payouts immediately
EasyBets, which was acquired by BetonSports (SBR rating D-) in May of 2005, is currently operating while BOS has frozen all accounts. With the future of its parent company uncertain, EasyBets bettors are advised to request their funds. They will no longer send checks to US residents. So that means the only free method of withdrawal isn't available to US customers.

Can't really blame them for that. 2% on Neteller certainly wouldn't stop me from getting my money out while I could.

Tim Lambe, chief executive of Easybets, the Asian-focused sportsbook which was acquired by BetonSports in May 2005, has told eGaming Review he would be happy to take Easybets back into private ownership should BetonSports cease to operate its US-focused website and de-list from the London Stock Exchange.

Lambe said there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding the group and at the moment Easybets would keep operating and focusing on its core Asian markets. He added that he had not yet spoken to the BetonSports board and that it all depended on how the group would restructure following events in the past two weeks. He is expected to meet with the board very shortly.

“`It all depends on how BetonSports want to treat the situation,” he said. “If they were to dissociate themselves from the US and focus on Asia through Easybets and the other operators then that would be an option. Alternatively, there could be a takeover by another operator and Easybets would be incorporated into that or I would be happy to take it back into private ownership.”

Lambe said he had four years to run in the earn outs agreed with BetonSports at the time of the acquisition, although he was not hopeful they would be reached.

Ricky, obviously if a CEO is in place that can run the book outside of the BOS structure, is a good chance because they are a profitable operation it will continue to be around. That said, I do think is a risk.

I wouldn't have thought much of a chance BOS would shut down even for a day, but they did. All about risks.
