Default What Book Makes the Most Annually?

I do not see many books advertising these figures other than BoDog I think they say 240 million, alhtough a lot of that may be poker. I would think it would be between Bodog, BOS, and Pinnacle, also I am curious about how Mansion does, although they are rich so it does not matter for security purposes.

I'll be the first one to say BOS because they stiff so many players when they win big.

Sportsbook.com are part of the Sportingbet group (along with numerous other sites). Since they're listed on the stock exchange, their accounts are available.

I would actually think Pinny would be top 10 but not top 5. Sure they have the most value but they probably operate at a much lower percentage of profit to the bottom line as they are so low on juice.

I am sure Raiders is fixing to correct me though.

My guess would have been Bodog second behind BOS.

Don't know how much Gala Coral make from their sports betting operations, but here in the UK their betting shops are prevalent on a similar scale to Ladbrokes/WillHill (i.e. massive).

If just choosing one single book that is the most profitable, my money would be absolutely be on pinnacle. They have to lead in action and its probably not close. Everyone plays there. Sure, their reduced vig hurts, but I see pinnacle as a book that looks to get one-sided action, and from my experience, they're usually right on the money.

Hmm i cant agree 100%.
Pinny (like all other books) love it when they get balanced action with a guaranteed profit, i think.

They are not scared of 1 sided (and big) action yeap, but from my experience they move their lines based on the bets coming in
(with marked sharps getting the most attention).

A reliable source says Sportsbook.com for U.S. Market and it ain't even close. Someone check the LSE reports maybe? I've heard Sportsbook.com does 10x the sportsbook volume BoDog does + BoDog inflates their figures by adding in poker. In their defence BoDog holds around 2-2.5% higher than Sportsbook.com which is puzzling when you think Sportsbook.com's customer base should be as square as BoDogs. These numbers might not be 100% but word on the street is they're in the right ballpark.

Probably because BoDog deals dual lines to take advantage of players betting habits.

Sportingbet as a company is a monster. You can see their financial reports: http://www.sportingbetplc.com/pages/1/Home.stm. All of the Plcs have a report online. Pinnacle might be 2nd or 3rd in volume but their hold is a fraction of a Bodog.

I would favour some of the bookies of the big asian market like www.sbobet.com or www.sb1888.com.

Kiwi, there's no doubt in my mind that some of the Asian and U.K. books are bigger, my comments are based on the U.S focused BM's.

If I ran sportsbook.com I would do whatever I had to to raise my hold % up to the 6.5% range. It's not like they have a wise-guy image to protect, but they do have shareholders to keep happy.

I am afraid that Betandwin with more than 3 mil customers makes more than Bodogīs 240 millions per year.

Dont forget that books like bodog, betandwin, BETonSSHIT, sportsbook etc want newbie players...guys who put 50 bucks or so on their favorite team every weekend.

I dont think they make more than Pinnacle, but who knows.

They are not well known here because in the asian market books and customers are most of the time in contact over agents and not over public advertising because in most of these countries betting isn't legal. But nevertheless the asian betting market is way bigger than the european or US market. In the betting advice forum
( http://forum.bettingadvice.com/ ) there is for example a member called 'tokcok' who can give you a test accounts of asian bookies.

Kiwi, do you have any experience with asian bookies? Are they trustworthy... and do they offer Neteller, Moneybookers or C2P? I do not see the option at the two bookies you have mentioned.
Thanks.

They seem to be reliable and have the best odds and high limits. Interesting is that for example Pointbet and 10Bet just follow their odd movements. Of course if there appears any problem once it would be difficult or impossible to do anything.
Most of them don't have Moneybookers or Neteller but if you are in contact with them over an agent it may be possible you pay him with Moneybookers. (You can seek at the betting advice forum for 'tokcok' or for sbobet I think you can ask here: he is one of their agents. They may also give you a test account)

Omg It looks like a big adventure...
But my personal opinion is that they can be quite fair. The "agent system" is maybe second-handed from Muslimīs banks, which is efective. I hope that those bookies are not in fact bet-al-kaida

Lol, I really have no idea why you think it could have anything to do with Muslim's banks or Al Kaida. But in case you are right at least with your winnings at the same time you can weaken a terrorist organisation.

The association came into my mind from the agent system where nothing is written... but I can be wrong.

If not used directly but via an agent, doesn't all that depend on the agent then? How reliable he is, what kind of limits he is able to offer and so on.

I would have some hard time trusting anyone with just a hotmail address. I mean, do you get any other contact details? How easy it is to become one of the agents, or how easy would it be for an agent to stiff your money? As far as I know, these guys don't work for the books but are just customers.

Sure, they do work for the books and can give you a (test or real) account there and for example the option to pay using Moneybookers. As such a test account is risk free just try it out if you are interested. But apart from that you are right it is a matter of trust between you and your agent. Also you can directly join the books from their websites in case you know them.
