Default Someone here mentioned getting dial up internet for free all the time???

I never pay for or pay very little for dialup internet service but have to switch providers a few times a year because my trial offers end.Alot of times even after the trial offer ends the big providers like AOL will give you extra months when you try to cancel.I guess it's in their best interest to have alot of subscribers on record even if they are non paying customers just to show advertisers they have a big customer base. The drawback is that by changing providers alot you miss out on comps that sportsbooks offer you that they send to your old e-mail addresses.

Alot of people here were saying they get free internet service? If so,what providers do that?Something tells me that if it's free it's a come on where you get a measely 10 hours a month for free?Or else you get a deal where you have to watch commercial advertising clips and you get popups etc.I wouldn't mind that even.

Firstly, you should have an email address which isn't linked to your ISP - that solves one issue. The amount you're saving by getting cheap access is peanuts compared to the offers which you're no doubt missing out on.

    Secondly, just get broadband.

Better still, steal, I mean borrow, your neighbors' wifi signal. If you're not close enough to get the signal, build a directional antenna for about $12. If you live anywhere remotely urban, there are almost always multiple unsecured networks in range.

Sign up for a webbased email like hotmail, gmail, yahoo mail, etc. This will solve that issue like Taco mentioned above. I dont think I ever use my email supplied by my ISP.

No way I could use dial up, free or not. Broadband will spoil you.

LOL, I think BC lives closer to a remote area than an urban one.

I get about 4 other connections on my router. 2 are secured, and 2 are not. When I first noticed them I surfed a bit on their connection, but just for a short time. These people need to be schooled on this wireless stuff when they buy it, because they have no idea who can come in and out of their system at will.

Look up wardriving, people do that to steal personal information by driving through neighborhoods with high gain antennas to pick up unsecured wireless networks. So if you use wireless networks, be sure to turn the encryption on, along with Wireless MAC Filter. So the router just lets your network card MAC address access the network.

Default I have or had about 20 hotmail and Yahoo e-mail accounts as back ups

As far as getting sportsbook and casino comps I always had Hotmail and Yahoo accounts as backups and sportsbooks were always good about letting you sign up with those accounts but casinos were a bit more leary where they wanted you to have a paid for provide name attached to your e-mail.

I never saw this on a sportsbook promotion but online casinos don't trust people at all from certain countries in the eastern block and Denmark for some reason. They either won't give the promo at all to those people or if they do,they set the playthrough terms much higher and the withdrawal limits lower.I picture guys like KGB on the movie rounders getting his start screwing over online gambling casinos being a promotion abuser.hehe!
