Default Somebody tell me I am crazy!!!

Well it's bad enough I've been helping my cousin on her personal statement to the University of Michigan...I am basically writing it...but now I am actually considering betting on them.

Outside Missouri +15.5, I don't think there is better value on the board than Mich +6 this weekend.

Do I dare bet it and ruin my viewing experience!!!!!

i've never bet against MSU football or basketball before nor do I intend to but MSU -6 is a huge trap game this weekend!!! I live for MSU sports.

i had this predicament earlier when notre dame played michigan, i think its more enjoyable to just root for your team too much conflict of interest the other way

BB, I'll be at the Texas/Mizzou game tomorrow. I can tell you that Mizzou is fired up for this ballgame. This will be their best opponent all year considering how bad the Big 12 North is. It really concerns me though that New Mexico can roll 45 points on the Mizzou D. I think Mizzou is gonna be able to score some points (Probably 20-30 in my opinion) but can they stop Texas? My gut tells me "NO". Texas 42 Mizzou 28. I think the "OVER" is the play here. Just an opinion. I sure hope you're right that Mizzou can cover the number. We'll see.

As far as UM is concerned, I would say that, on paper, MSU clearly looks to be the superior team. However, these interstate rivalries make the paper handicapping a little convoluted in my opinion. Normally, I would never take a favorite in any interstate rivalry. I agree with you that this looks like a trap. I would think that UM will be able to run the ball...with Lloyd Carr, that's a positive. He seems more comfortable as a coach when he knows he can run the ball. I'm not playing it but I'd go with UM +6. Again, just my opinion.

That is why most gamblers lose

Bet with heart and not to win

FANS CANNOT BET SPORTS

Buddy it costed you a winner today and we all know how hard it is to pick winners

You should not be gambling

JJ you are really out of line here...all bettors start out has fans of one team or another. You are not the person to be telling people whether they should bet or not. The fact that I didn't bet against my team shows a lot on my part. I still love watching football and other sports and if it means laying off a bet then I'll have to do it so I can enjoy my viewing experience. If Missouri had covered and MSU covered...i wonder if you'd be saying the same thing.

You on the other hand are a perenial loser. You gamble knowing full well you are going to lose. I am a recreational gambler who thinks like a sharp and wants to make a little bit of money for college expenses. I mean where do you get off telling people to gamble and not gamble! I mean you ask/beg strangers online for money to make up your losses and all of a sudden you are giving me advice on whether I should gamble or not. Give me a break dude!

College football will whipsaw even the best cappers at times. I talked a buddy off of Texas because of how tough they played the horns last year and because Tex has Oklahoma on deck. Win, lose or draw you can't do well in this game by playing poor fundamentals.

When you have favorite teams and gamble it is abad mix as it will effect the way you gamble and it did here Buddy bear.

You canot have one favorite team as that team might be great to bet against at different times and offer great value and you pass on the game because it is your favorite team.
