Terris- What if a guy played all -200 lines and hit 57%. Don't you see the difference in the claim at -110 compared to -200. I said that you cannot hit 57% using equal lines -110/+110 or -104/+104. Use a binomial distribution chart. It will show you how hard it is to win at a rate of 57% over 100 trials.

If my math is correct, even if he played all 100 games @ -120, 55% yields a winner of 1 unit. The thread is called "Razz's 57 out of 100". He has built in a 2 game fudge factor just to make sure. I think the rules he has laid out are more than fair.

I guess this is what I'm trying to say:

100 games @ -110 @ 57% (assuming each game bet is one unit) yields 9.7 units.

100 games @ -120 @ 57% (assuming each game bet is one unit) yields 5.4 units.

My personal opinion is that: I think its tough either way. I'm certainly no pro but if I could hit 57% on a consistent basis in every sport I bet.......I would be a professional gambler and wouldn't have to be working for the man 8 to 5. $1K per unit....that would be pretty sweet.

Sorry, Razz. I guess I should have taken this message to another thread. I just want to state that I think 57% is tough in football no matter how you slice it.

As EBone just showed you could make great money at 57%. If you play at reduced shops -104 and -105 you can make a fortune at 54%.

Could not agree more with that post......in the olden days, every street bookie was @ -110 on sides and some had -120 on totals. Now, if you were winning during those days, the times now would yield you some serious jack........
