Default Mtn West Conf Should Bring in Boise St & Then Sue ---

- - -the arrogant and corrrupt BCS for admission to that closed club.

A conference consisting of Utah, Boise State, BYU and TCU would be easily as good at the Big East.

And once they're in the BCS they'll be able to recruit better athletes all around. Maybe New Mexico and UNLV would then improve a little as well. Even SDSU. (Well, no. Scratch SDSU, unless Coryell can be brought back from Puget Sound or Alaska or wherever he's hiding. If he still be alive.)

In any case I would definitely put the top four mentioned above against the top 4 in the Beast. Maybe, maybe evn in the Big 10. (Hey, I said maybe)

I see from the wiki that Coryell is still kickin', but about 84 years of age. Guess he doesn't want to be another Paterno.

I think your suggestion has a lot of merit. That would give them a ten team league, and if they were to implement a round-robin schedule like the Pac-10 where every team had to play those top four you mentioned every year, they'd be a shoe-in for the BCS. They already have their own TV network which is more than the other BCS conferences can say excepting the Big Ten. Congress will make this happen if the BCS commissioners don't, and I think they can see which way the wind is blowing.

The Pac Ten needs to invite Boise State, BYU, Utah, and another school and form a super conference like the SEC, create the Pacific Division and the Mountain Division.

When you see games like this Utah spanking of Alabama, it sure makes it difficult to understand why there isn't some sort of playoff system.

I'll tell ya what else is unreal: if you watched the TCU-Utah game earlier this year, TCU just beat the pants off of them statistically. Utah is good as proven tonight but, even though they went undefeated and beat everyone on their schedule, I'm still not convinced they were the best team in their conference. My point is that these guys can compete.

A whole-hearted 100% agreement to ritehook on this post. Good stuff.
