Bettrojan stole the winnings from my account.

Hello all. I consider what Bettrojan did to me as blatant theft. The basic descripton of the story is that I was apparently warned around December 25th or 26th that I was "playing moves and if I continued my deposit would be returned to me." On December 27th, I was attempting to place a wager but could not because my account balance was $0. I looked at my account history and saw that my original deposit amout had been withdrawn back to me and, to my complete surprise, I noticed a deduction of $4,311.88 with the description: "ZERO OUT, PLAYED MOVES AND WAS WARNED HE WOULD RECEIVE HIS DEPOSIT AMOUNT AND CLOSED ACCOUNT." At the time, I was with them for only about a week and up a little more than $4,300. I never did see this warning. I received no e-mail or phone call, and my account was not locked pending my understanding. I was told that the warning was posted to my account, but I have no way of really knowing as my account is now locked. I do admit that if the message is displayed only when logging in, I simply did not see it because I use an add-on for Firefox that prevents the automatic log-out that many sportsbooks have, and I did not close the window for about 2 days. I don't think anyone would continue to play at the risk of losing $4,300 without inquiring about the warning.
Regardless, I think the warning is a moot point. I think it would be acceptable if the sportsbook considered all wagers AFTER the warning no action. However, to go back and take all winnings from the account that were earned prior to the warning is theft.
Am I wrong here? Or am I right in thinking I am being cheated? Would my deposit have been returned had my bets lost?

The thing is that I don't consider what I was playing as playing steam moves. I picked off lines that they were hanging that were weak. I use an odds service and I never played any of the moves when the alert goes off: "major line move."
I would say the majority of my wagers were on 1st and 2nd half NBA sides and totals.
My style of play shouldn't matter. Kick me out of the book, but I expect to have my winnings paid when I leave.

Bettrojan tossed me out about 2 years ago after I beat them for a whopping sum of 4 dimes. No steam plays involved. They closed my account and sent my money back to neteller. No explanation. I believe the panty model's name that was running the place was Mike. I posted about it on another forum and all everyone did was come into the thread and lick Trojan's balls like they were a great book! Some suggested I contact them and ask to be reinstated! Yeah good idea, but I prefer to stay away from gutless shit books... Hope you get your money pal... (I think you will, as I believe they are pansies but not out and out thieves).

Fill out the complaint. If the facts are as simple as you indicate, you're in the right.

Bullshit! That is pure theft. They have every right to kick him out, limit him, delay him, make him call in plays - but absolutely no right to take money from his account for "betting moves." EOS.

If this is true, the book should be downgraded to F.

That is exactly what happened to me at TheRx a few years ago. Some moron was arguing with me that Trojan was right to close my account because I chose the 20% deposit bonus instead of the reduced juice. His posting handle was Cincy. I had never seen a guy so delusional on any posting forum I had ever been on.

This is definitely a shit book, and not worth anyone's time.

Mike should make this right IMO. Please fill out a complaint form like many others have suggested above and one of us will inquire on your behalf.

Never judge a book until you get all the facts, and confirm the player's story. I still haven't seen a complaint on it.

I like the book and play there from time to time. Mike has always been reasonable. As Justin says, hopefully the guy will make a complaint and we can get the full facts evaluated.

Thanks for all the support, I have not had the chance to check this post since yesterday as I was busy.
I did file a complaint shortly after I made the post, and I received the confirmation e-mail. I also forwarded all the e-mail correspondence that I have had with Bettrojan since this happened to: help@sportsbookreview.com
Did the complaint and e-mail not go through?
Also, my last e-mail to Bettrojan was not responded to for almost 2 days. However, very shortly after I made this post; from the time stamp on the e-mail, literally 18 minutes later, Mike at Bettrojan sent me an e-mail offering to pay me half of my winnings to, as he put it, "keep the drama away."

    The facts are very simple.

    1) I was supposedly warned that my "deposit would be returned if I continued to play moves." I don't know when the warning was supposedly posted to my account but, after my last day of wagering, my deposit was returned and my winnings were taken.

    2) I did not see the warning. Why on earth would I want to put my winnings of $4,311 at jeopardy to continue wagering with them when I can easily wager elsewhere? Even if I had seen the warning and disregarded it, the simple solution would be to cancel all the wagers made after the warning was given. Even then, the wagers should stand as they were accepted. (The funny thing is that I was on quite a good run, but the last day of playing was a losing day.)

    3) Although I argue that I was not playing moves, it really DOES NOT MATTER. To retroactively remove winnings from my account, especially winnings from wagers earned PRIOR to the supposed warning, is simply not acceptable.

If and I say IF Mike is still there, then you'll be paid. If Mike is not there still then it's not so sure of a thing.

Has anybody noticed that the "playing moves" argument has become the cry for any second rate book that wants to "put the move" on a winning player. It doesn't really matter what the player is doing. Its just an excuse. If the line is there and you offer it--the player has the right to bet on it.

AND, I might add, if you leave a line up for 5 minutes or longer--no one can be playing a move on that line.

Players, don't be confused or taken in by this language. You did not see this crazy whiny stuff prior to UIGEA. Books are having liquidity problems and they want to blame everybody but themselves for sloppy line work.

Excuse me for being such a noob. I have never placed a wager on an online sportsbook. Isn't "Playing Moves" kinda the point of gambling? That makes me think of line moves. And if this is frowned upon by online books, why bet there?

A book has a right to limit action. If they don't like you betting steam, they can close your account and send you your balance in full. However, seizing a balance, or even canceling steamed wagers are fouls.

But as I said earlier, give us some time to get to the facts on this one.

I have received an e-mail from Mike just now. He has agreed to pay me my balance in full next week. In his exact words:
"I will send you your balance next week in full so long as I don't hear from or of you until then and hopefully after."
I don't exactly know why I have to wait until next week to receive a Neteller payout but I will be patient. I will let you guys know next week if I receive the payout.
Thanks again for all of your support.

As usual, it is the player's responsibility to know why a line is posted the way it is at Trojan. This is their standard MO. Trojan is never responsible for posting correct lines that they actually want people to wager on.

This has nothing to do with UIGEA or liquidity problems. This is how this Mickey Mouse book has been operating for years.
