with the way the tigers and both the red sox and white sox are playing right now. i really question if they will make it this year.

odds are the wild card winner will be comming out of the central this year, and the red sox have really improved there defense after epstien's return, and are starting to pull away in the AL east.

i'm thinking theres some real value in the "no" prop bet being offered at pinny right now.

i know fox won't like it if the yankees don't make it, but i don't think anyone betting "no" on this prop really cares what fox thinks.

Dan, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one. While I agree with you that the Wildcard will come out of the Central, I think the Red Sox are awfully lucky to be in the position they are in right now. They have had some unbelievably timely hitting in the last month to win games that should have been losers.

I think the only way the Yankees get in is to win the division and I still think that is an achieveable goal.

they have that massive payroll, but its mostly sunk into overpaying some old guys. they dont have depth. the young prospects that could fill in for injuries dont exist, they were traded away.

I will laugh my ass off if they dont make the playoffs. And I got in on this at +400

It seems this very same question has been asked the last three years. They always seem to find a way. Boston just had a 12 game winning streak and only managed a 3 game lead in the east. I know this is a different year, but what would FOX do without the Yankees in the playoffs? I know Joe Buck would be crying.
