    Default Netpoints from Neteller

Looks like I've got about 21 million of them. I don't know anything about them. Has anyone had any personal experience with the joy of Netpoints?

    Help me out.

(If anyone is thinking, 'For crying out loud Mudcrap, you're a mod here. Do some research and you tell us!' I know, I know. That's where this could end up. But I was hoping I could get other people to do my work for me if at all possible).

I've got shedloads. You can use them to enter a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly draw to win some money. But even with millions of netpoints, the chances of winning a prize are slimmer than an anorexic.

For the monthly draw of $3000, it costs 5000 Netpoints for each entry so you could have 4200 entries. But there are currently 183K entries so the chances of you winning are about 2%. So the "worth" of your Netpoints based on those odds are about $60.

Pretty crap return for a lot of Neteller transactions.

But Mudcrap, you're a mod here. You could have done some research and told us that.

I always thought Neteller could do something better for their clients like a free InstaCash deposit after so many points are accumulated. Long shot contests seem a little out of character for a banking-type company.

I'm kinda curious if anyone here has ever won one of Neteller's cash prize drawings. I never have. I'd rather be able to trade my Netpoints in for really cool Neteller gear. Kinda like Marlboro or Winston cigs used to do. Maybe some Neteller Panties for the girlfriend, a Neteller Fleece Jacket to wear to church on Sundays, you know, something useful.

    Couldn't agree more.

21 million Netpoints equates to $2 million going in and out of the account. The fees that Neteller will charge the books/casinos/whoever for that will be huge - and they give the player a part of a draw worth $60.

At least give the player the chance to release the value of the Netpoints into something they might actually want.

    Sjelveh,
I do think they are legitimate contests but the people who are winning $500 drawings are probably the high rollers who don't care a whole lot about it. Not the best advertising.

    I'm with Captain K. I'll take the Neteller T-shirt

yeah, these points seem like BS...I like the idea of a free instacash transaction...or even a t-shirt like Bill said...

I never win from Neteller, I wonder where the hell do they post the names of the winners. It seems like scam to me too.

It's better than nothing but blown away, I am not

I guess I'll get all my points into some draws. Might as well. I'll let the forum know what happens.

I stuck 6 million in one of the draws and, surprise surprise, didn't win. I'm keeping my stash of them in the hope that they will actually let you cash them in for something worth having. Heck, if I wanted to enter a draw then I'd buy a fricking lottery ticket.

They didn't mention anything about earning points transfering from Merchants to myself. It just said earning points sending money to merchants.
That doesn't sound good. I have to lose money and transfer money to merchant to earn points?

freebie - You get the points on all monetary transactions and the rate is 1 Netpoint per $10. So if you transfer $1000 to a merchant, you earn 100 Netpoints. If they transfer $1000 back to you, you earn another 100 Netpoints.

Mudcat, I think you should get the SBR team to badger Neteller and get them to sort it out.

I also have milllions of these points. I used to to try using acouple of million points at a time to see if I could win anything, but it was just a waste of my time. A couple of years ago, there was a discussion within neteller to let people buy gifts with their neteller points, but that idea seems to have died.

I recall when Solid pay first came out, and tried advertising 1% cash back, at leasst 1 bookmaker complained that it would creat an incentive for players to always want to withdraw their winnings. Which is probably true. If you got 1% cahs back from neteller, than instead of having 20 million net points, you would have 20k cash. Thats certianly a lot of incent to maximize your deposits and withdrawals. So maybe that's why neteller is hesitant about giving away too much, because they are worried about how the merchants might react. But I think if and when the market becomes more competitive, neteller may have to rethink their player loyalty program.

Good point. But with a 1% cashback then everyone and hs wife would be milking that one. Mudcat's 20 million points relates to $2 million of turnover and those points being put into the monthly draw are worth about $60. That works out to 0.003% "cashback" - I don't think anyone's going to turnover $2 million for the sake of cashing in their Netpoints for a Neteller T-shirt or whatever.

I hope they have a re-think and allow people to exchange their Netpoints for something worth having.
