Part of the fun of craps is the community aspect of it especially at a crowded table/casino. Having said that - I generally dont care how other people bet as it doesnt affect the dice whatsoever. If a "wrong" bettor gets hot - I will jump in with them.

Also, maybe someone could answer this question regarding SBR craps - why are earth are odds on Don't Come bets turned off on the come out roll? As a Don't Come bettor you never, never, never want your odds turned off and they are always on at live casinos (unless requested to be off). Is that a setting you can change in the software because it's damn annoying?

The only fair bets on craps are "taking the odds" or "laying the odds" after the point is established. SBR casino only allows betting up to 2x the Pass/Don't pass bet, which is crap (pun intended).

I very much enjoy playing craps at a casino - agree with someone above who mentioned a big part of the game is the community aspect of it, that generally, everyone's rooting for the same thing. It's one of the few casino games that can be genuinely fun to play, and drunken craps in vegas when you're back from a night of partying is fun.

I've gone on one or two "hour of powers" where I've rolled for close to an hour (hitting 5-6 points, maxing odds behind, and hitting lots of numbers), and it's a great feeling.

Obviously not a +EV game, but what's great about is that when you do win, you often win BIG if you can ride a hot shooter. It's a very volatile game, and you can lose a lot very quickly (set the point, seven out right away) so money management is key. I've found betting small when it's cold, and not forcing it, and then upping bets when someone starts rolling and hitting numbers is huge. And cashing in after a good run, important no matter how you're gambling, but even more so in craps.

I dealt craps for 6 years........no one ever wins.....only way people win is that one half hour roll a week. you get all kinds of line bets come bets up there or place bets all over the place and 7 away! or if you are on the donts they make 5 6's before they seven out. the game is designed for you to have a ton of bets going and one number...the easiest number to make to take all your bets....
