Great movie, but I feel like they gave Billy Beane too much credit. In all reality, Peter Brand did almost everything

I just wish they'd make a movie about a non-degenerate gambler who can responsibly place bets and somehow tie in hookers and booze and have it be good. That's all. Is that too much???

I agree. They always demonize it but there are a lot of people that do well and aren't strung out and stuck on hookers. And the movies and shows are always so superficial and never get into the many facets and depth of responsible and profitable sports betting. That 60 minutes with Lara Logan was awful too. See sat there like a deer in headlights and didn't get into any of the real meat of the story. Just my 2 cents

Cause drugs and alcohol and bitches is a fun fukking ride but all those combined inevitable leads to disaster but yes they should still make a good fiction movie

Two for the Money is the best gambling movie ever

Brandon Lang gets a gun put in his mouth and his face pissed on

    Nothing beats that

Can't make a good movie about sportsbetting.

Half of the movie would be someone sitting at computer, checking lines, talking to other degenerates, making posts. Movie would make like $3M at the box office.

But still, a good fiction movie about a guy betting on sports. I think we're due for one. No desperation, no depression. All profit and booze. C'mon. Please.

Sports betting can be depressing lol. It ain't all glamour. In fact look at this forum. Most people betting on sports aren't making any fettia. They broke. They still living at home. They addicted waiting for there next fix.

Very true. However, there are many of us who are the exact opposite. Not making a living off betting by any means, but can place wagers responsibly and have fun. I never deposit an amount i'm uncomfortable with losing.

All i'm saying is if they can make a movie about being in a college band ("Drumline") and try and make a desperate attempt to make it look cool, I think they can make a movie about a guy (yes GUY, not woman...although that might be sexy..) who wins in sportsbetting and has a good time doing it.

Peter Brand isn't a real person. His real name is Paul DePodesta. I have to say it was the combination and the great young pitching staff they had at the time. Both of them apart haven't really done anything by that I mean win a World Series.

This movie should be alright, but I feel it's going to be more about her relationships with gamblers (something like Pretty Woman or something, I may be way off with that assumption) and being a runner/bookie and less about the wild ride of a gambler. Hookers, Drugs, Booze, Racist Jokes, Rooster Jokes!! Give the people what they want!
