No offense to anyone in this thread, but you have to be pretty dense if you don't understand how a 6% player edge plus the possibility of a prize is not a great deal for the player.

Thad, this isn't a land based casino where averages make sense. They preset/program a certain comeback just like land based slots. So if you think this is a great promo, you are mistaken. That and the 25 point max bet. You think you could play for hours straight and everything will be sunshine and lollipops? Have fun with the promo.

It is insane to think it is a great promo. The leaderboard is up, people changing spots. They play and play until the final whistle trying to get that prize. 750 points for first. Do you know whatever the outcome is SBR will have already made their preset take? No matter what happens, SBR will make what they want.

If this is such an even "contest" lets see how many people come out even or higher. Hmmm maybe 10%. Great even promo.

If this was being held at a land based casino, it is a different story.

I don't think I am a sharp gambler mostly because of lack of self control, but I am firm on this. I have played at numerous DGS casinos, talked to scores of book casino managers and know what time it is w/ DGS. You cannot compare this with normal land based black jack.

You might want to have a look at Thad's 4970pt casino badge there. That was the last promo played with 100pts/hand.

Don't overlook my +4940 badge from a previous BJ promo. The other two promo periods I was +6000 and some and -800 (on limited play b/c I found out about it late). So I ran slightly above expectation twice, well above once, and well below once. Max bets on every hand throughout the promo every time. The software is fair.

The promo works for SBR because it 1) encourages later (-Ev) casino play and 2) few people cash out, as they eventually lose their points one way or another. Additionally, most players have a smaller than 6% edge because they make many mistakes.

Finally, a 3X rollover on a casino prize is insanely low. You'd be lucky to find a 15X rollover on a bonus from anywhere else. However, I encourage anyone who thinks the software is rigged to not play as less competition increases my chances to get a bonus.
