I would think they will merge with DonBest after they have had enough. Probably about another year.

For 99.9% of people, SBR Live Lines is all you need. All of the books I use are on there so whats the point of paying for a product I can get for free.
Hows Don Best holding up? Haven't heard anyone mention them in a while...

Doubt that will happen.
There's a lot of bad blood between Don Best and Sports Options. If anything, DB would delight in their demise.

Yep but a deal is the way to settle this I do believe. I've heard some lowball offers have been floated.
Most of us thought good ole competition would be good for the paid lines services. Now its obvious that will not work. Too many games they can all play and the customers are getting caught in the crossfire. Meanwhile all are operating in or near the red. So my guess would be DB will aquire SO and LM in cram down deals and be more than happy to go head to head with GnJ.

Hi John,
I don't think most line service would agree that competition has been a bad thing for them. If they have stayed with Don Best, they are paying $100 less a month thanks to competition. And while DB is still second on injuries 95% of the time, they are faster than they used to be, arguably due to the competition.
I am sure you do hear plenty about games being played with information, but that is from DB customers, not ours.
JJ - after all those nights together at the craps tables, this is how you repay me?!?!

What happened to the audible alerts? Not working for me anymore for quite awhile. As a matter of fact, the entire package behaves differently for about a month now.

Hi HD,
We have not changed anything with the Audio Alerts, but it is possible that something has happened to your settings.
When you go to the Audio Setup (from the Setup menu), you can test the alerts by clicking on any of the alert buttons. Also, make sure you have the alerts that you want to hear checked. If everything looks okay on the Audio Alert setup, try making any change to your settings and then click the Save button.
If this does not work, please feel free to contact our office and we will make sure we get the issue resolved. You can get our toll-free number from the Contact Us page on our website (I don't want to over step any boundaries by posting it here).
Thanks
Rick

Ricky you made a big mistake getting involved with RX
That is why service not doing as good as it should be, RX is dead and on a huge decline
You should never associate with a website like rx that has a horrible fraud rep

Rick yes competition is good if you guys can actually compete. With lawsuits and restricted and delayed feeds and so forth it doesn't look like we will have real competition.
I'm sure you know but to the benefit of others I'm just speculating. I see DB and SO coming together and Rick returning to run the combined show. Its a happy ending and puts everyone in the place they should be and gives the player the best service imaginable.

The gambling ban also hurt paid line services
The new generation better simply does not need it or find it useful and the free sites have really caught up to the paid ones.
Stock market live feeds average $15 a month and they use to be like $170 or so, Don Best will luck to get $50 a month in the future.

I guess anything can happen, but right now I think they are going to continue down the 'seek and destroy' path, which is only good for us.
Whatever happens, leaving DB was the best thing I could have ever done. Being able to take a fresh look at the line service business has helped us put out a great product and drastically improve injury reporting. I never thought we were complacent at DB, but I was wrong.
