    Default OT - 6/28/2006 Puzzle

The answer to the last puzzle was "Steel". I actually kind of liked that one, but MrX, setting the new standard, even after three days was the only person to get it right (at 11:20:45 on 6/25/2006). Explanation to follow.

    And now today:

Last puzzle explanation: Take the first letter of each word for each senetnce and form a new word. For example, on this first sentence, "A loud, lazy Oliver yawned" spells "alloy". The second sentence spells "blister"; the third, "HSLA" (an abbreviation for "high strength low alloy"); the fourth, "Bessemer"; and the fifth, "galvanized". These are all words commonly used in reference to steel, which is the answer. The title of the puzzle, "It's Definitely Irony" is another clue. Steel is, after all, definitely iron-y.
