Default Devin Hester will be in the top 5 receivers next year.

With his speed and moves he has a huge upside.

he'll improve... but c'mon... make me a list of your top five today.... then tell me he'll be better then any of them next year...

Hester was too dumb to play WR in college

Unless all of these are out of the league next year you are an idiot.

    Andre Johnson
    Randy Moss
    Brandon Marshall
    Larry Fitz
and last but not least, Steve ****ing Smith.

i'd add Greg Jennings, Reggie Wayne, Bolden, welker, roddy white, Holt, as guys I'd take before Hester.... heck forget that I'd take every steelers wr before hester...

Holmes, Ward, Washington, throw in Limas Sweed for next year

He at best would be a Santana Moss or so, know where near top 5!

Ya I tend to agree, top 5 is quite a stretch. However, top 25 may not be.

    LMAO - that was good.

I'll bump this thread next year. He gets more separation than just about anyone in the league and will be the best after the catch.

He is definitely one of the best after the catch but I also think that he is as of the moment not a top 5 caliber WR.. Smith, Moss, Johnson, Welker and , Holt..

top 15 maybe...nobody can cover his speed...should add penalty yards to boost fantasy stats

did you guys see Hester run straight towards the wrong goal line on the one kick return yesterday!!! he is over-thinking kick returns and blowing it. He is almost more valuable to this bears team as a big kick returner like last year, then he is as the receiver he is now.

Even the commentators said yesterday was the first time they've seen Hester savy enough to do a "double move"... it was basically a post pattern...my 4 year old nephew can run a double move in his living room with the nerf ball.

    Top 5 what?

Are you serious? Hester can run one route right now. That is all he will ever offer any team. He is a one route pony.

He isn't exactly built to run across the middle of the field, or outjump someone on a fade route.

No way... There shouldn't even be a discussion about it because he can not possibly progress to be top 5 that quickly.

No one gets more wide open. He made a huge jump as a receiver from last year to this year. Wait until next year.

speed kills...hester makes fast guys look slow...he can outrun double coverage...

brandon marhsall is nowhere near top 5
unless hester gets a qb, he wont be
if he were ona team with a qb, i agree he is top tier

He is too short to be a really elite WR. He is 5-11 and that may be generous. 6-2 is about the minimum you want your wide receivers. Plus who knows how good his hands are. He hasn't proven anything yet.

There are exceptions to the height rule like Steve Smith and Santana Moss but generally the taller the better until you get to about 6-6, that is a bit too tall.

The point is the odds are stacked against him to be an elite receiver. Steve Smith is a phenom and just an exception to the rule.

You're an idiot if you don't think Marshall is top 5.
