Pinny Drops Horseracing!!!!!!!!!!!!
**** NO.
Important Service Update from the Pinnacle Sports Race Book
Dear Jason,
We are writing to advise you that due to the various changes in the North American racing industry, Pinnacle Sports finds itself in a position where we are unable to offer horse racing to our satisfaction. This, added to the declining interest of clients in racing in general, has prompted us to discontinue wagering on daily North American horse racing as of the 15th December 2008.
Please be assured that we will continue to offer our extensive range of sports betting markets with odds worth up to 60% better value than traditional bookmakers as well as our instant play casino and online poker room at www.pinnaclesports.com.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Kind Regards,
Customer Service Department

AGENT99 you are the biggest degen here.
You bet a nickel on the f'king Northeastern-Harvard game, and didn't even punch in the side you wanted.
Horseracing is the Sport of Kings.

jj, pinny was as safe as it gets.
Guys have to go offshore to get a rebate and to be able to play the tracks they want to play.

Thanks for the update Jason Fiveteamer.
I only played the horses with Pinny on big races or for Breeders Cup, but will miss it nonetheless.

Why don't you place all your wagers at Pinny?
Unless you bet the cheapo Ontario harness racing.
I see myself not betting horses much now.

Anyone serious horse player is playing onshore with legal rebate shops, not illegal sports books that are located offshore with caps. I am tired of teaching you guys all the time.

I play cheapo Ontario harness racing, well I used to, other than Woodbine Harness there is no money being bet these days.
I played 90% of my wagers on pick3, win4, and tri's.

They don't want to pay off on fixed races.
Talk about a sport where absolutely nothing has gone in their favor for 30 years and on top of it,the people in the sport are their own worst enemies. The Indian casinos moved in 20 years ago and that was a mortal death blow to racing.Animal rights people moved in and bitched that racing was cruel, there goes more market share.States needed money because they spent like drunken socialists and they taxed the race bettor more takeout where even recreational gamblers knew they were getting hosed.
Then the superstar horses retire after 6 races. Then the best jockeys can't even speak English and they have no appeal like other sexy athletes do in mainstream sports. Then the people who are in the race broadcast industry are absolute boring dolts or blueblood snobs.Racing is a sub culture where the fan base is dying off and younger people have no interest in it.
I think it has gotten to the point where the money is in fixing races and instead of off purses and the offshore books are worried about that so they discontinued booking racing.
Racing is as popular as a kid taking up accordian or tuba lessons hoping to get bar and dance gigs with his tuba and accordian playing as an adult.

Good place for horse players. Betting window stays open until the race goes off. Most books will close the window much earlier.

For some people, the ability to make horse wagers at Pinnacle was removed a long time ago. And i don't just mean those who live in the USA.

I don't understand, unless they were getting beat by horse players, why would they get rid of it?
How much could it cost to keep around?

I tail a guy on another site who has a great exacta wheel strategy that has made me money, and this is a huge blow for me. I made all my wagers at Pinnacle because of the big rebate and also because they had high caps on winnings. I can't bet in legal US books, because I'm Canadian. I can't bet on horseplayerinteractive, becuase I'm not in the Toronto racing jurisdiction. So my only out was either Pinnacle or head down to the crappy OTB site here (which only carries a handful of tracks). So I'm screwed.
