Default SEC freshman of the year

Julio Jones gets the award of FOY but somehow is on the 2nd team all-SEC team
while AJ Green gets 1st team all-SEC but no FOY award .
    stats dont lie
    RECEIVE YDS/GAME Cl G Rec. Yards TD Long Rec/G Avg/C Avg/G
    1 A.J. Green-UGA FR 12 55 951 8 54 4.6 17.3 79.2
    2 M. Massaquoi-UGA SR 12 57 910 8 78 4.8 16 75.8
    3 Brandon LaFell-LSU JR 12 61 903 8 43 5.1 14.8 75.2
    4 Julio Jones-UA FR 13 51 847 4 64 3.8 16.6 65.2

Green played less games and has 2x the amount of TDs as jones.
Green has over a 100 more yards recieving than Jones also.

remind you of the Colt McCoy situation

Ever considered that a WR's stats are directly influenced by his QB and the offense run, among other factors?

But it is still a contradiction to have one guy ranked over the other for one award and not the other.

Only way would be if Jones was a return man but he was not really.

There is no comparison. Julio Jones is a much better player. Green drops to many balls. Jones never does. If Julio played with Stafford, he'd be untouchable.
