Default Sooner backers; bet half at this price

At least thats my plan. I'm taking half now at +3 and the ML at +135.

I think this will be a slow creep to near Pick'em as the touting world and capping world starts taking a hard look at this one. I want to lock this price in for half and wait in case I'm wrong.

game is going to be high scoring, so less likely a 3 point game either way

I'd go big on ML if I liked Okla

its gonna be florida by at least 7.5 before kick off...... if you wanna play OU wait till game day.. if you wanna play florida play it now like i did and I did HUGE !!!!!!!!
OU is not gonna know what happend when they play a Real Defense there so used to doing whatever they want..... Get ready to see that change quickly... im expecting about 14 3 and outs which all we result in TD's For the gators lol... Cause OU plays defense like highschool teams in the state of florida...

Florida by 7.5? I doubt the line will move that much. Oklahoma is a high scoring team too and has a Heisman-nominated QB, so I don't know why Florida would be favored by 7.5. Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

Line will move to pick em... No reason not to take OU... Florida's defense can't stop the OU run attack...and blitzing will be hard with the talent OU has...

    I really like OU here...

OU can play enough defense to get stops..thats all they need to do is get stops..they have great pass rush and good LBs...

I also think Stoops is a better 1 game coach than Urban is

Not anti anything except losing. Actually as a life long longhorn fan I'm programmed to not like Oklahomo. All their good players come from Texas. I like the sooners to win this game. Their defense will look good against this Fl team and they will play ball hog with those great receivers they have.

As a rule I just dont cap O/U's this far from game time. Of course cold weather will not be a factor but you can get some big time rain in that neck of the woods.

I kind of feel the O/U line is close. I could see Okla getting in the low to mid 40's maybe even high 30's and FL from 24 to 31ish.

Maybe...just MAYBE...I'm an SEC homer but regardless I see no reason why this shouldbn't be the same lopsided National Championship game like the past two years with an SEC opponent. Oklahoma is about to understand the meaning of playing a REAL college football team and facing Tebow. Still for the life of me I can't see how they are only predicting him to only be a third round pick for the NFL draft this coming year. There is NO ONE that matches up to him in the entire nation of college football.

Honestly,I'm tired of hearing about SEC defenses.I'm not a fan of either conference,so I'll be objective. How about the arguement that Florida's defense hasn't faced an offense nearly like Oklahomas.I don't want to hear Geogia either. The GA offense isn't close to OU.And as far as the last few blowouts by the SEC?I'ts been a slow, conservative Ohio ST team the last two years.By the way,FLA did lose to Michigan last year.Another slow big tem team.I think it's going to be a great game and to say it's going to be a blowout either way is ludicrus. There is matchup problems for both teams.A lot of SEC bias on here and Bama fans are automatically on Fla since the Gators beat their beloved Tide.Bama lost because they didn't have the offense and playmakers to keep up.Their defense kept them in it.Granted,OU defense isn't the best, but you do have to look at who they play.MIZZ-TTECH-TEXAS-OKLAST.Those are great offenses to play against weekend and weekout. The same arguement that SEC backers have when they say---It's tough here in the SEC.Were playing these tough defenses weekend and weekout. It's unreal to compare OHIOST last year and OU of this year. What does everybody would think happen if this OU team played that OhioSt team. The same thing that happened to them against FLA and LSU!I mean all this with all sincerity guys.

AMEN, guru. I think Oklahoma is set up a lot like Alabama actually. Except OU's offense is much much better than theirs. Oklahoma will be able to move the ball on Florida better than Bama' did. So if the Sooners can get just a couple stops in this game, I think they will win it. Oklahama is not good against QBs that are very quick and agile like Griffin or Robinson from OK St... now Tebow can run, but he is not agile and quick like those QBs.. he is basically just a bruising Fullback when he runs. Oklahoma will be able to stop Tebow because they are much bigger in the trenches.
The Sooners Oline is much bigger than the Florida Oline and the Sooners Dline is much bigger than the Florida Dline.

People don't expect Tyler Hansbrough to be a great player in the NBA either, and one can make the case he's the best in the nation for college basketball.

Some players dominate through college and have the ability to jump right into a pro style scheme, others are system players or (in Tebow's case) able to outrun defenders too. We all know what happens to the Vince Young's of the world.

I don't like either of these teams, but I do like money...so I'm taking the Gators.

I agree with you that OU's offense is better than BAMAs. But I think BAMAs D is much betten than OUs. Florida wins, 56-45.
