Ethan - google "BetUs deportation". I can only find one link and a response from a Mod in there seems quite plausible as I can't find any other mention of this:

"The guys who were deported probably didnt leave the country every 3 months.Their fault,nothing to do with sportsbooks.They used to raid us all the time at BetOnSports and we would sneak out the back door and were told just walk around the mall till the coast was clear"

Immigration doing their yearly rounds poking around... They were gone from the office complex in time to catch a late lunch. Far from a raid, and pretty standard stuff in CR. The guy you quoted in the post above is correct. 99% they are just looking for guys that overstay their visas.
