    Would that be George Brett?

Actually, here's one that might be of interest to you.....What is the most homeruns ever hit in a single season without reaching the 100 RBI plateau? To be honest, I'm not completely sure of the answer, but have a fairly good idea.

I knew that because I remember a recent thread at another forum where some anal-ist kept claiming Brett wasn't the only one.

Ted Williams won two batting titles (1941, 1942) in the decade of 1933-1942, two batting titles (1947, 1948) in the decade of 1943-1952 and two batting titles (1957, 1958) in the decade of 1953-1962.

Stan Musial as well. Won one in the decade of 1935-1944, four in the decade of 1945-1954 and one in the decade of 1955-1964.

Nice...Yeah, I believe that's it....Harmen Killebrew gets the "silver medal" I guess, hittting 45 and driving in 96 in 1963.

I remember that season well locally, kept telling myself as the season kept progressing how crazy his #s would be if he actually had a lot of baserunners in front of him.

That's one funny way to define 'decades.' DO you recall who the anal-ist was that was making that argument, taco?

Brett was the right answer, and great question about the homers/RBI, stumpage

I liked this response best to his nitpicking about the definition of a 'decade:'

You don't have many friends, do you BizMark?
