    Default Week 4: GIANTS -3 is my biggest play of the year

    I see Eli building off the beating he took and Giants D pulling it together. More importantly I see the line moving to 3.5 or 4 by mid week.

    Biggest play of the year??????? .... You've got to be kidding ... I wouldn't play the Giants this week if the line went to +10.

    I hope your putting the same amount on money on this game as you do others as there is no such thing as a big play.

    Each game has the same exact chance of winning.

    I have to disagree with you there JJ. Statistically speaking, as you are, only a flip of a coin has the same exact chance of winning. What we are dealing with is sports, specifically NFL, where a multitude of factors come into play. For example home team advantage, injuries to key players etc. These factors have to be considered in NFL whereas they are not a concern during the toss of a coin. Hence we have a situation whereby books offer lines +/- some advantage/disadvantage, namely point spreads. If all games were 50/50 there would be no need for spreads and every game would be more or less an even-money, money line +100 -100.
