Default Can you challenge people on this forum?

I don't bet offshore anymore because let's face it, the industry is dead. 50/50 whether you get your money even if you win. I would like to do a 100 dollar challenge with someone though and have the loser send 100 via paypal. I don't know if you can challenge people on here though or what.

Here is the rules on this matter sir:

Quote:
What about contests at SBR?

SBR offers a great variety of handicapping contests for its members to have fun, challenge each other and win prizes. Posters are also free to engage in their own ‘head-to-head’ contests or track records of their fellow handicappers. However, SBR cannot and will not organize, oversee nor mediate any of the unofficial contests and challenges. Furthermore, all monetary and/or prize arrangements between posters should be kept separate from the message board. This includes the use of private messages for said arrangements and discussion. There are several betting exchanges available that would be safe and efficient for these types of contests. SBR reserves the right to limit or prohibit restricted posting accounts from participating in forum-hosted contests.

It's very easy to go to the private forums and see if u can get a taker exchange emails and go from there, but I dont trust anybody on here to do what they say they will when it comes to money because I think most people on here are addicts.

I guessI didn't see that or wasn't on the forum as much when that happened. A lot of people were talking way more then 100 dollars most likely. I just don't want to take the chance now with all of these posts, signing up at a book.

You will trust some random poster here, but you won't trust an A+ rated book that's never stiffed anyone?

How about this challenge:

Post up at the Greek, Bookmaker, or WSEX. If you win and get stiffed, I'll pay you your balance. If you don't get stiffed, you pay me 75% of your winnings.

It cant be proven that even the A+ books have never stiffed a single person. I dont trust any of these books with the bill money and I damn sure dont trust these addicts either.

It can't be proven that the earth won't explode tomorrow either and kill everyone.

No, it cant, and I dont think that will happen. It's simple for any semi-intelligent being. SBR and similar sites would not exist if not for stiff books.

So you trust some random over the internet but not books that have a track record of paying people? Either this is a level or you should not be allowed to procreate.

Very skeptical on books. As you can see by my signature, I haven't bet offshore since the Neteller fiasco. Those bets in my signature were the last bets I made, over 2 years ago. I keep seeing the shit hit the fan. Have made a couple online bets and have been paid, I look for a certain poster who has a track record and seems like he's an honest guy.

I hate to think this forum has sunk to that disgraceful level.

I'm sure there are lots of people here who are honorable enough to bet a lousy 100 bucks with.

Christ, I used to do pools on the honor system with the ratbags in the Penalty Box at Covers and stiffs were very rare.

Having said that, I have been betting with offshore books for 6+ years and never been stiffed - and my circle of contacts has probably reached the thousands by now - there is a massive body of evidence that you can bet safely. The paranoia is a head-scratcher.
