500 miles is a long way in that part of the world. You can't say that if a country like Italy is 500 miles from the region that it means anything. They are a world away politically. Israel is the only ally in the MIDDLE EAST. Also, back up your claims with numbers. I would love to know how many troops those countries have in iraq and afghanistan, relative to their respective populations. Israel, a country with a tiny population, and surrounded by enemies, is expected to send their limited troops to Afghanistan or Iraq?
