VD made me a nervous wreck last year when I had him. He seems to disappear for long stretches at a time. He ended up doing fine for me though. I got Witten this year.

He had a pretty fair contract for his age/production/injury history. Good for him to get more, though. He proved me wrong bigtime in the NFL. I was not a fan at all.
Even so, that team is going nowhere with Alex Smith at the helm... And they'll win 1 or 2 more games than they need to to get Luck. They'll find a way to f that up.

I agree that Alex Smith is overrated. But you have to also consider the shit-kicker offensive line blocking for him every season. Most qb's have an average of 3-4 seconds to get rid of the ball on a passing play. As a 49er fan, who watches every game, I can tell you that Smith may have about 1-2 seconds. Constant pressure on any qb will alter his performance. I don't care if you put Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron rodgers, ect...if you have no blocking, you will suck...period.

most people said they would win 5 games max this year and under 7.5 was free money.

You forget schedule had philly, bal, pitt, dallas, giants, all these were marked as automatic losses.
Tampa Bay was a 10 win team primed to improve on that and everyone was drooling at Josh Freeman.
