It will be interesting to see the new SBR Live Lines on August 19th. Don Best is going to have to lower their cost regardless.

DB will have to come down to like $300 or service will bascially just be done and have only some offshore books using service
I see winners G-J and SBR Odds down the road

I don't think anyone will be able to charge for this type of service down the road. They will need to turn to advertising dollars for revenue.

I'm with Clip. DB's premium product is more than just instant odds and their product will always have a market.
But any of you old timers remember 7-8 years ago the best stock quotes you could get were 20 minutes delayed and you were dam happy to find those!! But things changed and now its pretty easy to find real time for free..except they are not really real time, they are a couple of seconds off. The same will happen to odds.
SBR wants to be the odds service for the working man. The best free odds on the net. We will always be a couple of seconds behind DB because DB is a direct application where as we have a feed.

Sports odds are nothing like stock market quotes
stocks change sometimes every few seconds
Sports on a busy game your luck if you get 15 line changes
So if you have even 2 minute delay it is real time
DB injuries are taken right off wires thats all
no scouts, ect
lmao

G&J catching up with all other services that DB has. They post steam even though they call it wise guy plays. There's a critical line move feature. You put in the books that you want checked. Then you can set it up to immediately post a pop up as soon as a line changes to the setting you have it at. I've set baseball at 5 cents. In football and basketball I use one point. Also popups will occur if you would like for injuries or players that are sitting. Every day in baseball you'll see a pop up as soon as it's confirmed that a player isn't starting for one reason or another. Lines are live and update automatically.

Yeh G-J has really stepped it up and telling by poster response at other forums it is very strong and worth the money.
I never thought DB would be caught but I was wrong
There is a new Sheriff in town and his name is G-J

Not to mention sportspunter.com - there's some pretty stiff competition out there!

Jimmy they are ok but not formatted good enough for American sports
Excellent links though
thanks

yeah it's funny how different areas of the world like things in different ways. Most of those sites have options to display odds in US format, but you're probably after more than that. I guess all the information is still there - and if you can get better odds by using all the comparisons then it's worth spending time to get used to whatever format the comparisons are dished up in.
cheers

For soccer the Euro line services are great but for American Sports there are just oo many clicks to see lines.
SBR Founder Join Date: 7/20/2005
there's never too many clicks to see lines - just bookmark the page you want
eg NFL

You could do the same and bookmark urls for other sports.
It's easy to be confused by new websites, but if you put the time in to learn how they work in this industry you can pick yourself up some much better prices.
