but just got to thinking we have a lot of messed up people here.... Quite a few misfits.prob some social outcasts, plenty of degens... and it reminded me of somthing or somewhere.... then I remembered it...

It reminded me of all the weirdos at this church my mom used to drag me to for awhile when I was younger......

so while initially you would think that about 95% of this board never ever would set foot in a church,synagogue,mosque ect.... it might be the place they fit in best....

I dont think church is the worse place in the world, but I fall into your category Chi. I used to go when I lived with my Mom because it was required. Haven't attended regularly in 13 years and havent been at all in about a year and a half. Personally, I think we were dragged their in your words because our parents had an idea that we could turn out just like this.

As a recovering addict, I have found myself in many church basements since 1990 (because that is the most common place for recovery groups to meet).

But going to church for church sake? No. I would be as likely to try casting voodoo curses or sacrifice some chickens to change the weather or go sit on Santa's lap.

I never found the people who went to church in my town "weird". Seemed as normal as people could get, although they were all pretty old.

But no, once I was 17 and moved out no church for me, except for when I'm back home on holidays.

Church? Don't touch it at all...went to a catholic school and grew up in a catholic family...once I got older and saw what was going on I got the freak out of there and haven't been back in over 10 years...too many child molesters. Plain and simple...the Catholic church does not clean up their own back yard so to say.
