Why would you fine him...deflected passes anything goes...its the truth you can even cheapshot anyone... no pass interference...the ball should have been there...he lead with his shoulder...
its a clean hit, nothing dirty. NFL will fine him because its a pussy league now...Gotta baby all the offensive players...

clean hit and bullshit call. if there is a fine, the players association will dispute it. he led with the shoulder and it wasnt meant to be a dirty hit. the nfl is a joke already with their bullshit roughing the qb calls. im lucky if i watch 2 hours of football on sundays anymore

Everyone is saying that its a bad call but in reality it was unnecessary roughness.
The play was clearly over and you could see Clark leading into Welker with intent to injure. The hit wasnt really that big if you look closely, just looked big because Welker is soo short and his body/legs went flying.
Welker gets hit right in the chest from a shoulder, not in the chin...

watch again, the ball is obviously thrown to welker and when he was hit, the ball had still not hit the ground. i would like to hear if he even knew the ball was tipped(he already had put his head down), but still a shiit call in my book because the ball hadnt even touched the ground yet.

That's a cheapshot and unneccessary Welker had his head turned and gave up on the play already.

Not cheap thats the way football should be played.
Physical football is amazing- I love the Steelers (hope they don't hit my cowboys like that though) lol

It was worth a shot...
|
definitely should've been a penalty. You can't take shots at players like that. It looked like an attempt to knock him out or injure him.

Watch it again yourself, and learn the rules. Clark realized that Welker did not and was not going to catch the ball. End of story.

What are you a patriots fan? Nobody likes Welker's gnat ass- he is small and elusive and no one can ever really hit him. Finally he gets tattooed....
But in response to he knew he wasn't going to catch it, I disagree; he saw the ball thrown to Welker he started running full speed right at him, Welker went up in the air but as soon as Clark saw ball thrown he knew he was going to make a big hit to try and jar it free. His vision of where the ball was was blocked by Welker.
Even if he did realize at the last second that the ball was tipped, you cant just stop after running full speed at someone; sorry you just cant.
Thats why late hits on the QB are usually bull shit. How can I sprint at someone then just stop? You cant do it.
Its football these guys get paid millions of dollars to knock the shit out of each other

Are you even watching the clip? He ****ing plants his feet and jumps full force into him, it was not his momentum that caused the huge hit.

You don't think it's cheap that Ryan Clark would do something like that? It was unnecessary. I know football is a rough sport but that doesn't mean you go level a guy after the play is basically dead. It was a blindsided cheap shot.

no foul
slow some of these passing teams down.
You want to run crossing patterns over the middle. Man up.

I was watching the game when this occurred.
Unreal hit ... I dont see it being a foul ... guy was in full force when the hit occurred.
I do however, have much respect for WELKER, fvker got help standing up but walked to the sidelines like if a mosquito had hit him.
