3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.


4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.


5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.


6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.


7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.


8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.


9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.


10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.

This has to do with bad public policy. If we would make more logical quotas and allow for guest worker programs we could add more to state and federal budgets.

Additionally, a lot of illegal immigrants work under fake tax ID numbers and so they give into the system without ever getting anything in return.

Obviously, illegal immigration is a problem. But our government not adjusting to reality is a problem as well.

One thing to note is that this list is a couple years old, and DHS has been cracking down big time the last couple years. To the extent that this stuff was true, it's unlikely that it is today. Far fewer mexicans are coming across the border than before. Also, criminals that don't have status in the U.S. are immediately being turned over to the feds (and quickly deported if they don't make bail on their immigration charges), this is a big change in policy over the last 2 years or so.
