Default NoJuice Sports hoping for infusion of cash

    06.09.2006 (01:43 PM CST)

NoJuice Sports (SBR rating D-) "hoping for infusion of cash"
NoJuice tells SBR that the sportsbook is still waiting for $40,000 to arrive by wire to Neteller but admits that they will require an "infusion of cash" from partners to process further payouts. When SBR inquired about the sporadic partial payments sent out this week, we were told that "people are still depositing and as soon as that money comes in, it goes right back out."

    i agree mudcat.

at first i thought this book might have survived after the superbowl but, i guess the low vig model they had just couldn't make enough money.

If they are willing to pay cash we can send a runner over to their office. If both book and player agree they can PM me for our local number in Costa Rica.

i think that pretty much says it all.

anyone foolish enough to leave $10.00 in this shop, much less send more money, deserves to get what comming to them.

I think that the big problem is that most of them just aren't privy to knowledge of the existence of SBR.

Anyway, in the end NJ doesn't just need an infusion of cash -- it needs an infusion of management.

    true.

think it is way too late for managerial help here.

the place is now in debt, and admits to using new post-up funds to pay off existing losses/debts.

it's all over, imo... Only thing left, is seeing how much they owe in total once they finally stop accepting deposits.

This just blows.. only 'positive', imo, is that they were limited to relatively low exposure, since no major forums/outlets took them on as advertisers.

the ones that were desperate enough to take them on, are only capable of relatively little damage, imo...

still, even that handfull of players that frequent those smaller forums, deserve better than this, imo.. this is just becomming a huge disgrace, imo.

I think the books are having a decent weekend if sting is correct. There could be some new deposits hit.

Players at Nojuice and Bet4aces need to demand their money NOW by any means. Dont take no, demand.

John, the NoJuices and Bet4Aces of the world aren't BoDog or SportsBook.com ... they don't have 20,000 squares straight betting on the favourites every day ... the bulk of the money bet at these places are scalps vs Pinnacle/Mansion ... so in order to win, these books need the opposite result of what Pinnacle needs ... they don't necessarily need underdogs.

I'm willing to give NJ and bet4aces the benefit of the doubt that if they had money, they would pay. But if they say there is no money in neteller, I'd take them at thier word. Players could try requesting a check, but it could be aweek before you know for sure whether it was mailed out.

Hmm.. good point Hal although a little disturbing.

Its a long time until football.

I was optimistic when they both went dry but now that their promised dates are coming and going one has to be a realist.

Maybe the funds are on their way but one thing you should learn in any business is to make deadlines and stick to them; and if you can't stick to them then don't make them at all.

If you're not going to be able to pay until the 25th then tell people you're not going to pay until the 25th. Sure, you might get a reputation as being in a slow-paying jam but at least when the players get paid on the 25th then you've been true to your word and then the bond of trust starts to be re-bulit.

But don't go telling people they're going to be paid on the 18th when you know there's a good chance of it not happening just to look like you're in control of the situation and to appease the players/watchdogs. Not keeping to your word makes you look like a slow-payer and a liar.

Probably not the best sign when your sportsbook has that message on their homepage. About time to start hoping for a miracle with this one.

babyJay, I have WAY too much. Had two winning days in a row that put me way above what I should have had. Of all people I should have know better, but just have to roll with it, hope for the best, but at this point I would say less than 10% chance of getting paid.
