Default Sampson vs Goliath - Costa Rica marches into history.

Good luck to the scrappy Ticos who will step on the field against the mighty Germans in this classic Sampson vs Goliath event with the world looking on.

Question What am I not seeing???

I’m looking at BetBrain and see that currently the best (1X2) odds for Germany to beat Costa Rica are -333 (1.30). In Pinny I see they have a Pick (pk) selection for Costa Rica at +1300 (14.0)

…so that’s:

Germany -333 (1.30)
Costa Rica +1300 (14.0) pk

Can someone tell me then please whether this selection is a surebet? I mean irrespective of whether this is a win for either Germany or Costa Rica, or indeed a draw…am I guaranteed a return on this type of wager please?

If U bet -0.5 (1.3), draw (5.85 - Pinny) and pk (14) is it just 0% arb. Find better odd for draw than at Pinnacle!

For example Mansion has 6.33 for draw It should be 1.28% arb.
Stakes CR (pk)723.43 draw 1 485.73 Germany (-0.5) 7 790.84. Net win 128.09.

I don't know about that. Everyone said the same in 2002 but they were still right there in the final. And don't underestimate the home field edge.

(Actually I don't have a clue on this; I am just repeating something I heard on the radio today.)

Is that a "Yes" by chance Brick?

To Lucas - I was just thinking of betting on Germany for the win and dispensing with the draw altogether by placing a Pick (pk) on Costa Rica.

You see does the ‘pk’ selection (which is asian handicapping isn’t it?) not dispense the need to cover the draw?

It is necessary to cover the draw! Not so much as by the 1-0-2 (so the stake for draw is lower), but it is necessary. You must use another arb-calculator, I have one and I have counted it into formula.
Generally You have to cover draw even in the situation (pk+0.5;draw,2).
The best if you do not want to lay it is to back CR(+0.5) at Mansion right now +365. Then do not cover the draw.
Or wait because there will be run of public on favorite.

Sampson vs Goliath - Costa Rica marches into history.

Am I missing something? Wasn't it DAVID who fought Goliath. And wasn't Sampson the one who was really strong until they cut his hair off?

Cuz I think Sampson was supposed to be really strong. He probably would have kicked Goliath's ass.
