What is the best sportsbook in Las Vegas? Stardust? Caesars? Mirage? I know most people here deal offshore, but I'm just curious who is the best of the best onshore in America.

depends how you define best... Stardust opens the lines first (in vegas) so I usually make a trip down there on Sunday... a few books offer reduced juice on varous days a week so if you talking value you would have to pick one of these... As far as niceness alot of sportbooks on or near the strip have good rooms... Hilton, Bellegio, etc... Leroy's is also in a ton of locations around town so usually they are pretty conveint to cash a ticket at... Also, they have a good college football contest (most are pro) so I guess that is a plus for them..me personally? I rarely bet in/go to the sportsbooks as a prefer to do it at home... My reasons include easier to compare lines and find better deals (bonuses/reduced juice) have the internet/phone at hand, prefer to watch games at home, and don't have to drive everytime I want to place a bet...

Vegas casinos normally are 1/2 point higher on the side and total than offshore books. Today almost everyone has a total of 47.5 on the Monday night game while the Wynn has 48 and totals will be rising in Vegas.
Public betting also influences Vegas books more than offshore. Public is on KC tonight and I expect to see a lot of 2.5 later in Vegas. In the LSU game tonight the total is almost 44 across the board offshore and is 42 at the Stardust and Wynn.
I'm not sure on the following but I think that the best odds for baseball is at the Palms and Barbary Coast as they both have 7 or 8 cent lines.

My preference is Ceasar's Palace, but can get crowded quick on Sundays.
The Bellagio is 2nd as has a lot of seating, very clean and lots of tv's.
I wish the US government would allow the Vegas casino's to open up online sportsbooks. The offshore books do wonderful jobs and probably could out perform the Vegas casinos for awhile online, but it would be nice to see them try.
