To me this seems wrong asking for very personal information. I have never had a sportsbook ask for an ID but to ask for a social security number. I would like to know what people think about this. Oh yeah, they threatened to suspend my account if I didn't send the info within 24 hours. This is total horse-shiiiittt. I would recommend people staying away from this sportsbook. I submitted the request and still have not got paid.

To me neteller has already checked all my personal info, why does SIA need all this stuff.

how are you paying....if you are paying for swift pay then you have to give it to them b/c swift pay requires it to verify bank account info....

if they are randomly asking you for it no apparent reason, then close your account and find another book....

I'm pretty sure you'll end up getting paid from them but it's true that the lower the quality of book you go to, the more hoops they generally make you jump thorugh.

I agree with this 100%It is also very wrong on there part to do this to a customer AFTER you been playing with them and you deposited netteller.
I really didn't like the fact that manison made me send them ID,but atleast they tell you about it on there webpg..I deposited $20 and then sent in my ID and waited intil i got an ok to withdrawal from them ,before i made a real deposit.

I would never pay with a book that needed my ss#.Unless they sent me theirs first

They have never asked me though.

My neteller is verified and if I deposit with it, I expect to be paid by it.

If they did not need my SSN to accept my money they have no reason to need it to pay my money.

I would throw a fit and then probably offer them the last 4 of my ssn.

SIA can get a bit overzealous in their fraud checks. They have hung up players for a long time only to eventually pay. Unless they tell the player up front they are going too far here. At some point you have to draw the line. I have emailed the Ops Director about this. Stand by.

I am all for fraud control but they need to get a better internal system or accept some of it as overhead.

Can someone clarify for me?

Is there ever a reason for a book to request ID when you pay by neteller/moneybookers?

Maybe photo ID if there are bonuses involved?

I paid moneybookers to mansion and they ID'd me. BUT they state this up front and it was only one piece of photo ID. Still, for a book desperate to get a foothold it seems a negative step (I mean, they dont even offer bonuses).

Incidently, I did kick up a fuss (especially when they lost it) but I kind of respected the way CS kind of argued back and didnt BS me. They are quite up front ... its nothing to do with gaming laws, money laundering, etc but purely to protect themselves.

Personally, if a book ID's me then I dont go back. It is definately never a good sign.

Sports Interaction is right on the New York-Canada border on an Indian reservation the Canadian feds have wanted to control for years.The Indians on that rez are pretty defiant about their sovereignity free nation status and don't want anyone telling them what to do including running internet gambling sites by the hundreds.

Something seems to be in the works with deal making on all these reservations that sell cigarettes online at dirt cheap prices where all the states got ahold of who bought them and now want back taxes.

I can imagine what the states and provinces do is tell the Indians they won't give them federal and state freebie handouts if they don't comply and hand over information they want including the names of people who do business with them.

The friggin socialist welfare states like Minnesota now charge $4 a pack for cigs and they need all that tax money to flush down the toilet on socialist make work programs and handouts.

Here it was the stain ''Clinton''that gave Indians the money to build tobacco stores and cigarette manufacturing plants on the rez and the feds are harping how people shouldn't smoke.The government would be up a creek running short of tax revenue if people all quit smoking so I wish they would shut the hell up with that we know what's best for you BS they peddle us every hour of the day.

I agree with others here in that if you deposit via neteller, no social security numbers or anything like that should be necessary...I've found that many books make you jump through these hoops so that you keep the money in there and hopefully eventually lose it...with SIA, I'm not saying this is the case (although I have read several slow pay complaints about them)...I'm just saying many other books will use this as a smoke screen (much like the "clear" photo ID deal)...

This book is rated a C+ like BetOnSports.

Why are we here CONTINUALLY making excuses for some books.

BOTTOM LINE:
It does not state they require SSN anywhere on their web site. Yet, if you want to withdraw, they force you to provide it?

This is a deceptive tactic, used to either delay/stall a payout, or to force us as players to continue betting in the hopes we will lose.

SIA should indeed be punished with a lower rating for requesting a player's Social Security number and then running a credit check on him. This behavior is absolutely absurd. What exactly is SIA planning on doing with the credit profile? Will they claim they can withhold winnings if the player is in collection with one of his ************, or perhaps they can just confiscate all of his money if he's missed his child support payments?

Bill can you follow up on this? Is this going to be routine now every time you try to get a W/D from this outfit? We all know they hate to send out money, these guys take it personal when you ask for your winnings, but to run credit checks and ask for SS numbers? If this is going to be the new policy I think it needs to be spread so players are aware of it.

Another question was to verify an old address of about 3-4 years ago which I never gave SIA. So yes to get this kind info they did some sort of credit check. Clearly it states in their email that the verification process used in this case was not of SIA, it would appear this is probably an outside company used to identify a person. I'll just double quote the email just in case it was missed.. "This identity verification service is provided in partnership with a leading US fraud prevention agency and the information you provide will be cross-checked against numerous official databases to confirm your identity"

Perhaps Dozer can verify this information with the manager of Sports Interaction and find out exactly what this process is and why it is required to could ease everyone's pain or Horrific Stories.

This type of questioning is extremely similar to what I had to go through with Neteller about 2 years ago when I requested higher limits. I got a call from someone at neteller asking about addresses from years ago when I was in college and if I know so and so and I'm like yeah I work with someone by that name but I don't really know them. It was no big deal but I don't remember one way or another about confirming SS#.

As mentioned earlier, this is exactly the same process Neteller follows to verify their accounts. Many people chirp about how wonderful Neteller is, but when you dig a little deeper you realize you are being deceived.
