Default multiple choice steam question

i posted this in the limit thread, but i figured this was a nice 'gambling' test of knowledge, LOL....

so this is probably a stupid question but what exactly is steam....here is a multiple choice scenario...

a. you carefully watch the lines at all the books and notice that the lines change at leading books A and B so you quickly put money down at book C before the line changes there too.

b. you watch your book all week but you always, always ONLY put your wagers down 5-10 mins before gametime because you only like to wager on the closing numbers.

c. youve had a number in mind all week but it has not been offered. then, 15 mins before gametime, at your preferred book C, the number changes to the one you have been waiting for. you quickly put your money down at this new number. NOTE that this number changed after a couple of other leading books A and B changed their number first, although this is not something you were paying attention to directly as you only play at book C.

d. im clueless and need a better explanation

So which one of these is steamplay?

I would say (a) is the best of those answers. It's all about playing a number when a line is moving. Ideally just before a big line move.

I don't play steam so I'm sure there are many subtleties other people could point out, but the idea as I understand it is you make your play in advance of a line move - and then afterwards you can make an arb or middle by playing the other side.
