Default I Noticed Contests Just Do Not Have The Interest Like They Use Too

The last year or so I see a big drop in participants I think partly because players just do not want to be bothered with rollovers, ect and secondly players do not want to sign up with books that offer them if they do not have an account there.

Could be some truth to that, I for one dont care for rollovers or timeframes put on when I can withdraw, but I also feel like its worth it to get some extra cash in an account other than my main book.

I don't enter them because I don't want to have to sign up to a book I never plan on using. I just have no interest in a contest format against other people. I like placing my wagers with the book, thats it.

Big drop is because of this week for example, MNF contest you have to have $50 in Legendz. Who in the hell wants to send legendz $50 when you have all the other great books like BM,5Dimes,MB,Oly,BJ.

Most people on here only have 1 book funded at a time.

deposit $100 for 4 contest, I think its a great deal. Not like the $100 goes to waste, you should be able to make at least that if not even a lot more. As far as the rollover its tough but its free money, how can you complain about that. I think its a good idea and makes things interesting, especially BTP .

Funding is a major problem also which makes players play on credit or fun one or two books only.

make a dummy email account that you will never use, and don't answer calls on you cell phone that start with 8...and if you have any self discipline about your plays, rollovers shouldn't be a problem..besides that, why would you want to take a payout for that little of cash b4 you rolled it over anyway..what the hell is the point...doesn't anyone want to make money?

Govt needs to regulate this industry and open up the funding options. Right now they are clueless.

I agree I dont cash out anything below 10 units, but everyone has different preferences.

Rollovers aren't the issue, it is opening new accounts. I have a bunch of accounts so either I can't "open" a new one from a sponsor, or I'd have to move money around to be eligible. I understand they need their cut, so I don't begrudge them having those requirements, though it obviously cuts into the number of participants.

The critique I have in regard to CrazyL's NFL threads is that having to be glued to your computer while you watch. If he did 5 Q's for the 1st half, and 5 for the 2nd half....I think more people would participate. Posting a question and closing it 2 minutes later isn't what I want to be dealing with while watching a game.

I think the "in game threads" would be more active if the contest was 5 and 5, and simple prompts were posted, "Okay....kickoff in 5 make sure to get your picks in XXXXXX" same for the 2nd half. This would allow people to participate in the IGT, do the contest, AND enjoy the game.

I havent entered any cause I dont want to fund all the different books required.
why not have some contest with the books most users have money in.
my guess would be Betj,5D,Bookmaker, etc..( I assume these books dont need gimicks to get players to deposit)
but I'm not putting $50 in legendz just for a contest.

I you are talking about last nights game, although it was not on regular TV, they did have a feed on here last night. Yes, it can get tough to follow a game as well as answer questions during every commericial, but I thinkk half the novelty to the contest last night was answering as fast as you can without overthinking. My computer is hella slow because of all the s**t that is downloaded into it, but was still able to get all questions off in time. Look forward to next week.

Its not really free when you get a few calls a week and emails to boot asking for a deposit. Its always the same guys at the top of these contests so its hard to compete. Just looking at the top 5 in the basketball contest its the usual suspects. turnip, picantel, Poker Beast, Richkas and treece. These guys are always good and its hard to win when only the top 2 pay.

I didn't know getting phone calls or emails cost you money. As far as the sharp players always winning, don't you like a challenge? I mean, if you play one-on-one against MJ and beat him, that's a lot better story than beating Christopher Reeve (post Superman 4) in a game of HORSE.

durito where are you in the contest? Oh yea you can't pick winners because you're too busy acting like you do. Not once have I seen you give out a winning pick. No repectable pro would live in a dump like Colombia. That place got more rats than New York City. Look out for the guerillas

Yeah..okay....that about sums it up right there. If you do not like "stupid run" contests, stay away from the contest I will now affectionately call "The Only Reason To Have NFL Network". By the turnout last night, and the scholars involved, I will continue to play and enjoy the action it provides. Good luck in your quest for a "non stupid run" contest. Give props to all that provide for this forum. No need to bash with dumb comments.
