Default Tony Romo takes a homeless man to the movies....

Tony Romo made one man very happy, and it had nothing to do with throwing touchdowns.

The Dallas Morning News reported on Wednesday that the Cowboys quarterback took a homeless man to the movies recently.

The man, who goes by Doc, was outside a theater in in Dallas when a man came up and offered to pay his way to see a movie. Planning on passing out fliers for a consignment store across the street, Doc declined. But then he realized that he had just turned down Romo.

He ran across the street, asked for the day off and ran back to the theater. Romo and Doc ended up sitting together watching the movie "Role Model." Doc told the newspaper that he informed Romo that he hadn't showered in days.

"Don't worry about that," Romo said, according to the newspaper. "I'm used to locker rooms."

Either he's the nicest NFL QB in history or a Homo. I wonder if he bought him dinner and took him to a motel like Darryl Strawberry once did with a homeless couple and got beat up after making a move on the wife.

I have to wonder if that homeless man was Pat Venditto. I mean after all his parents kicked him out and the coach didn't let him move in with him.

I buy homeless people meals all the time. That story shouldn't be news. Pro football players should be doing stuff like that on a daily basis. It's the least they could do to give back to the community.

The article also said on the night of the season opener, Romo stopped and helped a couple change a flat tire. One commenter said they believe he does these things to regain a shed of normalcy in his life, as they were stuff he'd do before he became a star.

Hard to hate on the guy, in fact I might have to pick up a jersey of his.

I wonder if he did these things before he was named the Cowboys starter.... or is he doing it now just to impress chicks.

I honestly don't think he intended for there to be any press surrounding this...

I saw that movie too! Not with a homeless guy, though. Just a few friends.

He was looking at film, that's what you do when you go to the movies. Unlike you, most people go to the movies to watch a film rather than to furiously masturbate in the back row.

Makes you wonder whether there was a happy ending to the movie. Or the evening. Or both.
