Default Who would you take... Oden or Rose?

If you could start a franchise with one of these players who would you take??

Rose....

good big men are rare... but Oden hasn't proved much, and has too many Injury issues. Don't think we will see too many healthy years from him.

oden, have to take a big man, tougher to find, even with the injury issues the upside is too high, too much +EV with oden

that being said... I bet Rose wouldn't mind get picked by ANYONE else right now.

felt bad for him last night, when I watched snippets of the bulls-blazers game... how many of the bulls regulars would see anything more then garbage time on a good NBA franchise?

give me a game-changing point gaurd first.... don't need a great big man to win anymore IMO ... I'll take a Chris Paul, or Steve Nash before I look at the 5

Oden for me. Defense wins championships. Ask Timmy.

Oden?

Guy has glass knees.

Why would you pick him.

consider this:

shaq won championships with kobe and one with wade, but kobe and wade never won without shaq

duncan won a championship before parker and ginobli were on the spurs (99), and has won 3 with them

great big men are much harder to find and more instrumental to success than great little men

you are forgetting that Oden has the same disease that Andre the giant has, he wont make it to 30, guy will fall apart.

oden had microfracture surgery...andre died from a pituitary tumor he never treated throughout his life...any claims that oden has any pituitary diseases are speculation

Whats hard for me to understand is that this same Bulls team minus Ben Wallace is the Bulls team that was supposed to take over the east after they beat defending champions Miami in the playoffs and then lost to Detroit I think. Everyone said they were the team to beat in the east for the next year. I just can't believe they collapsed like they did. I guess Ben Wallace makes more of a difference than people think.

Rose is not a real point guard. Don't get me wrong, he is maybe the most athletic guy I've ever seen, but he will never be a Chris Paul or Deron Williams. He just doesn't have the ability to get others involved and run a team like those guys do.

And I'm not sure about Oden. I don't know if he is going to ever be much of an offensive threat. He has a very long way to go. Right now he can get shut down by a good post defender.

How can't anyone not pick Oden is beyond me. So the guy had some injuries early in his career, big deal. He will be a HOF'er after it all said and done.

first he needs to win one without shaq, bro.

he disappeared in the finals, never taking over games when they needed him, and his frontline got dominated by the celtics

we'll see if bynum makes the difference this yr

first win one, then talk about two

baby steps buddy, baby steps

"KOBE HOW MY ASS TASTE?"

- Shaq at a nyc club last june

kobe without shaq = ZERO titles

shaq without kobe = ONE

winner, shaq
