Default apology to the classy CrazyL, my favorite sbr poster

you said yesterday in our discussion of the indy-sd game that indy beat pittsburgh who is "the best D" in the nfl. my definition of the best D is the one who has given up the fewest pts per game (tennessee), but it is clear to me now that pittsburgh has given up the fewest yds by far, so i can see how you would say they were the best D

also, i called you out for saying that indy was now +1, but willie bee brought it to my attn that pinnacle has +1, most other books yesterday, if not all of them, had indy +2.5 or +3, but it anyhow

youre a good dude and you handle jackasses like me with total class

CrazyL = a class act

i'll give you your prop if indy beats the chargers, but probably not for a few hrs after the game because i'll be a little pissed about losing money, lol

Thanks Hoopster, it's always fun chewing it up with sports talk, no offense taken on my end.

Look forward to Sunday so at least one of us can say we were right.

Hoopster, turning over a new leaf? nothing wrong with showing a little class

Thing about defenses and points given up, is that you can't tell how many of those points are off of special teams, pick 6's, short fields, ect. Also somtimes when you have teams like the rams back in 99, the colts, NE with brady... they score so frequently and so often that the defense is on the field disproportionately more then other teams' defenses and are bound to give up a few more points then they would in normal circumstances

Is this apologise to Lou thread? Cool.

Lou....I called you a cvnt a while back and Hoops is right, you handle us jackasses with class. You could have barred me 40 times that day in chat and you didn't, proving you're not trigger happy. That's what makes a good mod.

Right now Pitt is #1 against the Run and #1 against the pass, i know they arent known as a defensive unit like the 1985 Bears or the SB winning Bucs but this could go down as one of the best defensive units ever

been some great squads, not sure i'd put Pittsburgh up there. I do like how they keep the "big plays" out of the equation for the most part though. But fun defense to watch with Polomalu, Harrison, Woodley, Taylor

good pts about defensive stats

regarding the turning of a new leaf, most posters here will tell you that i can put sentences together in semi-entertaining fashion and came here with classy intents, my schtick of patting myself on the back comes from the fact that most, not all, but most sports fans and bettors have a real hard time admitting when their ignorant opinions of a team, player, or sport, are just wrong

go thru the archives and you will see that i have been right way more than i have been wrong, but when i'm wrong, i almost always, almost always, come back and admit and give props to those who disagreed with my take

sadly, most sports bettors and sports fans have too much pride to admit they pretty much suck at predicting this

its true,

I never understood how it is harder for people to admit they are wrong or others are right..when its just an internet board.

anywho... after this week it is likely that the KC chiefs; defensive will have given up almost exactly 1 mile more total offense then the steelers D.

I'm assuming a mile is about 1760 yards?

I would also like to apologize for being a dick to Lou. He could've banned me also, but never did.

Oh wait....
